  • I am busy telling myself I was happy with my lifestyle/income/life before I came on here and read how much other people were earning.

I mean, wow! It is hard not to be a little envious - but I had my choices and this is where I am at. Made my bed etc.

I earn around £20k with car (& fuel costs) and private health. DH earns around £21k. It is unlikely to improve ... in fact it is more likely that mine at least will decrease.

But we are warm, well fed and reasonably happy.
  • I'm 22 mother of 2 £900 a month - £7 an hour around 30-40 hours a week.
    DH 21 £30,000-£40,000 P/A depending on commission.

    Current debt £14,300 .... was around £27,000
Sealed Pot Saving No. 799 - Currently £105:o
    Savings £200 :A
  • Im 23, earn £49000 and have £15000 of unsecured debt due to crazy obsession with cars. No savings hoping to sell the cars after new year clear the debt and start building deposit for house
    Total Debts @ Dec 2009 £16,285

23, no debt but have been on benefits since the age of 16 due to chronic illness and disability (mental and physical). So IS (with disability premium) and DLA (HRM, LRC) are my only income - if you count HB as part of that, even though it doesn't come direct to me personally, just over £10,800. No savings - I can't afford to.

I barely manage on that, and wish I could get regular work, but there's no hope of that any time soon given how ill I am. :( I struggled even when I was doing voluntary work...

Wow, great income for that age! What do you work as if you don't mind sharing?
