This isn't geoffky's forum. There are a lot of us. We can all post links, anecdotals, news, discuss things from diferent backgrounds, political standpoints and views/opinions.

The balance is made, partly by doomers, partly by whatever the opposite of that is...er...reckless optimists? ...and partly by more blanced people with a view, but an openess to different opinions. There are very few very balanced posters among us :)

I think geofky can be blanced out by one of the ''other extreme'' for me. :)

The recession officially ended at 2.54pm british standard time today. :)

Read it somewhere or other, I would provide a link, but creating a wiki entry can be somewhat tiring.

    That's quick, I don't think it's even officially started yet :D

Some things have to be believed to be seen.

Having faith is not necessarily a bad thing.

Some people won't believe something, even if you show them a original blueprint of it and a working cutaway model, complete with gold plated certificate signed by Einstein, Churchill and Lennon.
    Americans mostly :p

Faith is not a bad thing Bluey, I agree. I think people having less faith makes worse things seem worse ATM.

As it happens I have a faith myself :) but I believe that I am fallible and don't know it all, and so my beliefs may be wrong.

Personally, as an animal scientist I believe in evolution but I accept its a theory, and that things can't be proven only disproven. Annoyingly.

    sorry - i don't see the balance

he posts about rape on an economy and recession forum.
he mocks people about losing their property and being reposessed.
he publicly laughs at people who have lost equity in their property.

if that's the balance that you want and is good - please feel free to fill your boots.

Hang on hang on, he wasn't saying that every post by the named person is a brilliant post. he was saying he is allowed to post stories of a gloomy news nature.
Pick on his obviously bad posts, not his normal ones.

Exactly, thank you (part from I am a she, not a he;) ).

The thing is Chucky, if you are open to all news, you see it coming from both angles :) If you are trying to defend a position then you inevitably see things weighted differently :)

What I was actually saying,is that Geoffky's doomladen posts may be weighed out, forexample, by yours..:)
