  • I have found credit card statements, showing PPI payments from as early as 1999. Am I still able to put in claims? They are for TSB and Abbey National. I also have Bank Statements showing that I made payments to G E Capital Bank, which may have had PPI.
Where should I send letters, is it advisable to ask for copies of statements? I know that Companies tend only to hold records for 6 years!
I have also found an agreement for loans in 1996/7, showing PPI. What are my chances? The finance was with Lombard Direct, do they still exist?

    Help!

    Try google.
You're looking to complain about stuff sold over 14 years ago, so unless you have your own records, the company probably dont either. Also the companies you mention have been bought out by other companies, so if you are going to complain, you'll have to do some research about who bought them and when and whether your business was still active when they were bought.

    This is the address

    Natwest
    The Royal Bank Of Scotland
    Regulatory Risk Data Protection Team
    Gogarburn
    2nd floor
    Business House B
    Po box 1000
    Edinburgh
    EH12 1HQ

Make the cheque payable to Natwest and request all info they hold on you and not just certain items, give the CC numbers and the business account numbers.

If you have the account numbers and reasons for mis sell then just put the claim in, you do not need a SAR request for this.
  • Thanks Amersall,
I'm thinking that I was miss sold on the credit cards as they covered redundancy (myself and husband were sold the credit cards during a "small business advisors meeting" when the manager was clearly awear we were both self employed ) I think he filled in the forms during the meeting along with completing the business development loan ( really starting to think that we were lambs to the slaughter )
Just want any info they hold regarding this incase my memory is failing me and I filled in the forms myself.
I want the info on the business loans because I have no idea whether there was PPI on the loans or not, it was in approximently 1991 so not easy to remember!
Thanks for the confirmation of the address. I've just included one £10 fee to cover business loans and two credit cards, should I be including fee for each account number?

Most PPI did cover the self-employed. Ensure yours did not before you make any complaint.
EDIT;dunstonh told you this in May 2012. How come you are only now sending off for a SAR?

Do be aware that the chances of receiving anything useful to a PPI complaint on finance from 22 years ago are virtually nil. Banks typically keep records for six years and if these loans have been paid off prior to this the Bank may not return any record of them at all. You certainly won't find out who filled in the forms two decades on!
  • There isn't an entry for AA finance, does anyone have the correct address for them?

Also, are Barclays and Barclay Card one entity and share one address or are they seperate?

    Thanks in advance.
  • I found an address on the AA website, apparently their loans were through Bank of Scotlan and they give the address to contact as:

Customer Relations, PO Box 548, Leeds LS1 1WU

It might be worth adding to the list on the first post?

Thanks for this, when Di304 comes on I am sure she will amend the list.
