I've had a few to drink so am cross and will make this quick.

But an old friend of ours committed suicide over debt this week. And am so cross. I;m angry with him cos i feel so carp that it was a waste and stuff and he didn;t get any help.

And its bought it home to OH how important this place is (cos i already ,know!).

i'll go to bed now and will be cherpier in the morning.

what a shame he didnt realise the forum existed, It might have helped him
. anyway hope you feel better in the morning. Its so sad when things like that happen over something that in the overall scheme of life is really quite trivial and before i get shouted at, i know its not. Was at that point of contemplation myself before i got all the help from everybody here.

Oh Skylight...I`m so very sorry to hear that....I too have had similar news over last 6 months on 2 occasions from people I knew.....its the anger of a life wasted that has upset me beyond words !!

Especially as a close friend of mine has been given only months left due to cancer & is clinging desperately to every single minute of every day.

I`m sorry if this is very downbeat but debt can be sorted....terminal illness cannot. I hurts me beyond comprehension when someone feels that there is only one way out when debt gets too much.

Sorry if this is a tough post....something you said just hit a nerve.

My thoughts are with you & the family of your close friend.

skylight, theres not much i can say, except that is why sometimes i get angry, ive been there, and if it was not for my OH may have done the same.

im stronger now than i ever was back then, but that fact still eats away at me, i just wish i could figure out a way to stop it happening to others.

I dont know if your friend was being hounded by his creditors or DCA,s, but thats the bit that always gets to me, that another human being can do that to another human being just to reach a target:mad:

What a beautiful sky I see before me. Such things I have long not held within my gaze. A light mistral blows through the trees. The light slowly fades, and the colours do change before the sun fades away to come back again in the morn.
