  • the infrastructure required to store all previous tv programmes securely with automatically updating the website is one hell of a job don't ya think! The amount of servers and network security required...

All tvcatchup is doing is streaming it live, and yes doing a very good job, but very different infrastructure requirement and costs ;)

Zattoo uses p2p and therefore encourages secondary redistribution of copyrighted content from the various broadcasters, which of course is illegal. It also doesn't restrict content to UK users which constitutes a further breach.

TV Catchup on the other hand, operates within the law and is only available to UK users.

The way you word that implies that the site suggested by the original poster is not legal. Why would it be illegal?
  • I found this site whilst looking around on the web https://www.tvcatchup.com.
    basically its freeview tv on your pc it says up to 30 channels but in reality you get about 16 at most.bbc 1 bbc2 itv channel4 itv2 channel 5 ,5usa ,e4 itv3 itv4. E4.. more4. bbc3
Dave.. fiver.. bbc news24.. e4+1 .. and during the day cbeebies and another kids programme
all you have to do is have a username and password and you`re in.works pretty well
you do have to put up with an advert before each programme if you change channels
    but for FREE its ok.
