I bought a USB Freeview tuner last year from Amazon.co.uk
http://www.amazon.co.uk/usb-tv/s/qid=1239403308/ref=sr_nr_i_0?ie=UTF8&rs=&keywords=usb%20tv&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Ausb%20tv%2Ci%3Aelectronics
The August one at £17, appears to currently be the bestselling one.
Check your postcode on the freeview.co.uk website before buying, to see what channels you'll be able to get
I've been able to get pretty much all the channels including Sky 3 and Virgin 1
Absolutely amazing bit of kit when im travelling around0 -

The Site Is Perfectly Legal Under Current UK broadcasting laws, one of the reasons they withdrew the service last year, was due to the service being used outside of the UK.
They now use a variety of location-based filtering to prevent users from using the site outside of the UK (I've been a beta user for many months).
They also USED to allow you to record, this was also against the rebroadcasting rights under which they operate, so recording is no longer available. A desktop application is under development which will allow recording to the end users hard disk rather than to TVC's remote servers (as previously).
Great service, fantastic bunch of guys running it, and for Flash video, the quality is amazing for the bandwidth it consumes....... But watch your data usage - it seems to be streaming at about 750kbps which is about 300MB an hour.
Some people using Orange Broadband have reported difficulties accessing the service..........and sometimes Virgin.0 -
Seems very nice. Thanks for that ebsay20000

Signed up.
Thanks very much. Looks good. Hope it really is legal though as a lot of them claim to be but really have no clue! haha.
Note that you should have a tv license when watching these streams mind.[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

Quality seems a lot like iplayer, though going full screen looks awful on a none widescreen monitor...[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

It's even more amazing when you look at how much more bandwidth the iPlayer uses. I have a 22" widescreen and on fullscreen I can't really tell the difference between that and real TV.
It makes you wonder why the BBC needed to waste so much licence payers' cash when the above website peeps have achieved so much more on their own.0
