Tbh, I personally go for George at Asda rather than Tesco's cherokee range. Bibs and socks are fine, but tops and trousers I feel fade and stretch out of shape faster. Asda's stuff is always still good enough to pass on afterwards.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Tescos, Asda and Sainsbury - all good quality. Indeed GS grows out of them before they fall to bits.
I used to shop for him in Next and the like - wised up to that. He grows so fast that they become very expensive if he only gets a couple of wears from them0 -

Yeah I definitely prefer asda stuff it just feels a bit better quality. Although I have had some lovely things from Tesco that have been absolutely fine, mostly I would go for asda. I find the neck on tesco popper up vest's are really baggy, and as DD is very slim they slip over her shoulders! As all babies are different sizes and shapes you tend to find some brands fit better than others.
Sale on in tesco and asda at the minute!0 -
Oh and asda basics socks were the only ones I found that would stay on! Tesco ones just slip right off, maybe due to build of DD, I'm not sure.0

I buy them great value wash well but I would wait as I did get a lot of presents of baby things some she did not wear as I got so many0

I now feel i can blow my wages on cute baby clothes lol.
Well in a few weeks anywayx
This thread just makes me want to cry!! I buy ALL my sons clothes at car boot sales and rarely pay more than about 50p (Normally 20p!) for brand new, hardly worn Next, Pumpkin Patch, Osh kosh, asda, tesco, Marks and Spencer, you name it! I cannot bring myself to pay £3-00 for a pair of trousers when
A. he is only going to be in them for about 6 months and will only wear them a dozen times or so because he has loads of clothes.
and
B. I know someone will be selling some on for 20-50p becuase theirt child has grown out of something they have only worn 3 or 4 times in 6 months....
People often comment on how beautifully dressed and smart my son looks...you would never know all his clothes (and most of his toys - same principle) are second hand. He has a couple of new bits I have bought him as he has needed them and we have been away and not near a car boot
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE in the spirit of moneysaving and reuse/recycle, don't spend your hard earned cash on new baby clothesGood Enough Club member number 27(2) AND I got me a stalkee!

I have to agree with Morty_007... the best places to get baby clothes are from car boot sales or freecycle.... you can get some fantastic stuff, really cheap and almost brand new (if not completely brand new). Both my two were dressed in really high quality stuff from car boot sales for ridiculous prices...and then I sold them on at car boot sales when they had grown out of them!
Don't blow your wages on brand new stuff... use it to treat yourself!!
Good luck with it all0 -
Im with Morty!
Im expecting my 4th baby and have never been able to spend on baby clothes - they just dnt get enough wear, feels a waste.
This baby was concieved after re-homing all of our baby gear. We found out it is a girl and then on freecycle someon was offering girls clothes. I was lucky enough to get them and there were 7 bin bags full, everything from birth - 2 years. My daughter is 3 - so i shouldnt need to buy any clothes for this baby for years!
There was some gorgeous clothes too, someone were new, lots of good quality makes too. I walked past the baby clothes for 20p a piece at the car boot sale today, i think i have enough for triplets already!0
