I have just emailed Butlins asking for their t&c on accepting Tesco deals tokens, perhaps you could email or phone Cosmos for a definite answer.
  • good idea floflo.....can you please let me know the outcome as i would like to use mine but being a premier member i can get quite a lot of bargain offers and wondered if it would be a waste using my deals tokens if i have to pay full price.....thanks in advance

Even if you only use a few clubcard deals tokens for your holiday you lose out on being able to take advantage of special offers not listed in the brochure.

A good alternative, which gives you much more freedom and ability to shop around, is to sell your clubcard vouchers on ebay. They usually sell for around 3 x face value.
Therefore, say you have £250 in clubcard vouchers this would be worth £1000 in deals against a full price holiday from a limited number of holiday companies.
But, if you sold them for 3 x face value you would have £750 (cash) to put towards a much wider selection of holidays and you could take advantage of any special offers available.
If you do decide to sell, just look at some of the tokens currently on sale for ideas as to how to word your auction.

How can people sell thier clubcard vouchers? Aren't they useable only to the person that earned them? I would have liked to give mine to my daughter but I didn't think this was poossible

Also another thing, can my daughter use my extra points vouchers sent with my statement when she shops even though they were sent for my clubcard to use?
    Thanx

Having just searched round eBay it looks like sellers convert the clubcard vouchers to deals vouchers (the choice is the winning bidder) and then send out the deal vouchers.
  • yes but dont the deals vouchers now have the person who they were given to's name on them now....thought i read this somewhere

Try searching for Tesco clubcard on ebay and you will get the idea.

The way it is done it is that you convert the vouchers to deals tokens on behalf of the buyer before sending them. Many, if not most, of the deals tokens come without a name on so once converted there is nothing to stop anyone using them.

It is probably against the T&C of Clubcard to sell the vouchers, but so is using codes not intended for you and this happens frequently!

The vouchers will work with any clubcard, but if they have a different name to the one on the card the checkout operator may not allow them.

The way round this is to use a keyfob clubcard which has no name on.

Great I'll give them to her next time she goes to tescos, shes trying to get enough vouchers for her car insurance for mays statement. Does anyone know the cut off date for the may statement?
    Thanx
