I've just received my shopping today and noticed on the invoice that none of the usual BOGOF, reduced price promotions etc were deducted from my final total. Just called cs and they said their computers are up the creek so everyone is getting charged FULL PRICE for their shopping, although they expect to be able to refund people the difference in the next few days.

This is obviously going to cause problems for people on tight budgets/near their cc limits etc especially if spending more than usual due to xmas. I'd ordered several bottles of spirits (2 for £25) so my bill is way over what I should have paid

ETA: I don't know if this only affects online shopping or shop tills too (do they use the same tills to pay for online shoppers?) so check your receipts carefully.

Thanks for this.. I was just on to CS myself - I was not impressed. Apparently, they don't have access to the information about what's on BOGOF etc, so I spent at least 10 minutes reeling off my list to them, and telling them what they should refund me - about 40 pounds or so! I also said I would be expecting them to cover the cost of my phone call to them.

Not good enough, IMHO, although I did sympathise with the young CS chap I spoke to. Don't forget to check they have taken the wine discount if you have bought 6+ bottles, btw.
  • 1. No I never get extra codes that can be used online, either... I think some people do.
    2. Don't know or understand what you mean about coupons... I think some can be scanned at the door. Use them somewhere else...?
    3. Complain definately. Never had that myself, but did have a cancelled order once. Think I got somesort of bonus.
    4. Ditto, this promo runs out soon, you may get some- or some kind of pie apology next time.
    5. There is a place to write 'notes' about substitutions by each item. Its worth putting a note- though they may not read it... When its clear you don't want wheat, or meat, or whatever they may still try to give it to you... You do do know that you can hand back at the door for a refund if they give you something daft/ not wanted?
    6. Yeah, don't know what '£Nan' stands for but it seems to mean not available. If your internet shopping comes from the same store that you go to yourself then its maybe not surprising. If its another store you could find that they won't re-stock this item. I found when my internet shopping went to another store a lot of the stuff I liked just wasn't available at all. Tell them you're disappointed anyway.

  • To get Tesco vouchers for online use rather than store use with your Clubcard statement you need to log in to your Tesco Card account and select the option to receive ONLINE vouchers. It does not happen automatically. Hope this helps.

I've cancelled my free trial which was due to finish next week. I'll leave it a couple of weeks and then re-join using the 1000 points code.;)

    Hi,

Do you know how long it takes to get the points? and can you go thry quidco and still get the points? Thanks.

I've never got anything other than online vouchers. Before there were separate clubcard vouchers for each, now they are the same. I never go into a Tesco store. They seem to know this and always give me extra point vouchers- the little ones that are for 40 points for buying bananas or something- are always for use in store!

MegsMum - sorry I don't. I was just going to go for the basic package - £7.97 per month, but I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't get your points until after the 3 months are up (as you have to sign up for a minimum of 3 months to get the points). Hopefully, someone else might be able to enlighten us.

Not sure about Quidco - it's not something I use/know much about.
  • Is anyone else having problems with the Tesco site today  I've tried to check out at home and at work today doing a wine order and error messages keep popping up
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)
  • Hope you can help, cos I've never shopped at tesco before and it seems so complicated!!

I have a clubcard but have never used it, becuase I normally shop online at Asda. If I shop with Tesco can I use more than one evoucher code on a single delivery? At Asda you could only ever use one, so just had to pick the best.

Also, I haev read on the website I can also use my sainsburys vouchers, such as £5 of a £50 shop. Can I do that if I have already used a Tesco evoucher code such as £5 off a £50 shop?

Sorry for the basic questions, but I am trying to get my head around it all!!

    Thanks!!!!
