mmm, had an order for 18 bottles of wine after 25% discount for £56 to be delivered today (5th January between 16:00 and 18:00) I also used the 1500 points code which had been accepted
Wine did not arrive
at 21:15 i got a call to say a "technical error" meant loads of orders were cancelled (even though i can still see it on the website) and if i still wanted the order i could reorder today before midnight, the price would show as full price but i would only get charged todays price. I said i do still want it just tell me when you can deliver and keep all details the same, told NO you have to start a new order?
SO far so good apart from the voucher i used on this order has already been used and cannot be used again
A technical error? or tescos getting smart?donstermonster0 -
I have an order to place for books at Tesco, I notice on the website that there is free delivery for over £20 orders but just wondered if anyone has any extra points codes etc for books, I know there were some last year but I havent had anything through this year. Many Thanks in anticipation0

Is it true you can use your clubcard vouchers in Sainsburys, having already exchanged them online for deals? Have read someone's signature on the site stating this is correct.
If it is, is there a minimum spend, or a certain number of vouchers you can use per transaction as I have 105.00 in 8 vouchers could I use them all at once of say ..... a 110.00 shop?I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

Im doing my first ever online wine order so i can make good use of the 1500 points code and also the 25%off
But.....I can't make up my mind which wine would be best to buy...I like Asti..theres quite a big price difference in the martini asti and tescos version...is the tesco version nice or as cheap tasting as the price??
Any help is very much appreciated

Must admit I prefer Tesco's own to Martini's it's not quite so sweet or sickly!I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

don't know if it's already been posted but you just reminded me to dig it out, so thanks! in my clubcard mailing i got 200 points when you buy books valid on as single delivery up to 31/12/06.
code is XX-KYFF
it might only be for certain recipients though, so let us know if it goes through.52% tight0 -

Cant see these answered anywhere else. I am looking at a rather large Goldsmiths purchase and was wondering if anyone can help me.
Do the deals vouchers for Goldsmiths come with just a surname on or a full name?
Do they ask to see your clubcard?
What if it is a virtual clubcard?
Do they always ask to see ID?
I have various clubcard accounts, not all in my name but registered at one address, do i need to merge the accounts?
With the wave of people who seem to be having clubcard suspension problems, do you think i will have any problems? If so as most of my orders have been from Tesco Direct and Tesco Wine, they will be having an awful lot of returns from me as i ask for my money back for everything i have bought this quarter so far!!!
I am now using a alternative clubcard in store as my usual one has 8,500 points on it.
Please help.
I use my points for Goldsmiths and I have found that nobody has ever asked for ID or asked to see my clubcard. The vouchers come with your surname only printed on them so I have made sure that all of my clubcards have different first names but the same surname. Merging your accounts is not a good option unless they have different surnames. I have made big purchases (my last ring cost about £2k) but none of the staff have ever expressed any surprise.
Hope this helps.0 -

I put a book order through today (£20.31) and used a coupon for 250 extra points from the nov clubcard statement. Can't remember the exact code though.donstermonster wrote:mmm, had an order for 18 bottles of wine after 25% discount for £56 to be delivered today (5th January between 16:00 and 18:00) I also used the 1500 points code which had been accepted

A technical error? or tescos getting smart?
A very definite technical error. All wine orders placed on 28/29/30 November were found to not have any items in them - hence your delivery not arriving. You can still see it on the site because there is still an order there - just not with any details. This is why you have to place a new order - how can anyone know exactly what wine you ordered?
I think it was around 6000 orders that this problem affected, so you can appreciate that it is taking a long time to get in touch. I think it's just a coincidence that they called just after your order was due - or maybe they knew you'd be in around that time?
However, should you wish to re-order, do it before midnight on Friday 8th Dec (either on the web or over the phone). You will have to pay the price that it is now, but call back after you receive the new order and you will get a refund for the 25% discount PLUS £10 GOGW, PLUS any ecoupons that you used originally.
If you want extra wine, more of the same etc then you'll get the 25% back for that too.
If anyone has any questions about online shopping at Tesco then I'll try to answer as best I can or find out an answer for you.
Only one XX coupon can be used at a time. If you want eCoupons rather than in-store ones (which will have a barcode printed on them instead of an online code) then either change your options on the website or call GHS who can change it for you.0 -
