Hi All,
Just thorght I say hi. Going to have a read through the full thread (may take a while).0 -
Hi all, just catching up, haven't read back yet BUT
Afterpains, I see these have been mentioned, I was going to post about these the other day but I didn't want to scare anyone, I don't remember anyone telling me about them the first time, mine were really really bad this time so be prepared just when you think its all over!
Congratulations to Astonsmummy and Hope you enjoy being a big brother Aston!MFW Start Sep 07 £79484, Now £587740 -
AM, he is just adorable!!!

I bled alot less with Jamie (sorry if TMI but with Poppy I even had 'bits' come out too!). And I was more than prepared for the afterpains after reading lots of stories but they weren't bad either
.
I have championed Boots mat pads before - they are fab! My MW told me not to change over to normal pads too soon as apparently the mat ones have no plastic backing so are breathable and better for healing your bits!

If it hurt THAT much then we wouldn't keep going back for more.
The moment you have your baby you forgot the pain.....then BAM the afterpains kick in!

And take SB's advice and embrace the sloggi wearer within - buying cheap big knickers was a false economy for me...they had no 'give' and made my stitches really sore. I ended up wearing my maternity bikini bottoms and sending out for some comfy sloggis...
Congrats to the new arrivals and what a beautiful name durham.

Yay, The Sloggi Mummy Club has a new member! :j. You won't look back!.

Hi Dooleys!
I stopped work at 7 months. Mainly due to circumstance (been at work 7 years, had the chance of taking redundancy with big payment and be honest about not returning or pretend to return and not have the money). Am due 13th May and was planning to work up to end of March but in all honesty, I don't think I physically could have done. I am a very here, there and everywhere person and found my bump to be very restrictive. Plus, going through nightmare loft extension here meant I could keep on eye on builders (not that that seemed to have changed anything) and do the nursery etc. Although have another month to do, I am only just getting to have some "me" time.
It all depends on you and how you are week by week. I mean, I didn't think I would get to almost 36 weeks with what people told me about having twins, but here I am.Proud mother of twin boys - double the trouble and twice the pleasure! :T0 -
Welcome Kitty and Gucci - saw your other pregnancy thread and the retalliation you had from a certain poster!
Loads of good advice here and you shouldn't find anyone like that poster, we are a good set of gals!Proud mother of twin boys - double the trouble and twice the pleasure! :T0 -
And all of a sudden, I can't keep up with the thread!.
Hope everyone is well and lots of congratulations to all the newbies! :j.
