I must be more productive today - 4th day off and I've done sod all this weekend!

    Plan

    unload dishwasher
    clean kitchen
    clean living room
    put washing on
Start clearing crap from little room in prep for nursery transformation.

Krystal - I love the bag, I keep forgetting to pick mine up!

Had the worst dia-woo-woo yesterday accompanied with the mother of all headaches which was worse each time I went to the loo. Seems to be better today though so I am going to get some toast or maybe toasted hot corss buns and crack on. Instead of wasting all my time doing nothing! weather's not fabulous either so I can't go and lounge in the garden all day!!

Morning all.. *hugs* to those still needing sleep :(

I was asleep until 15 mins ago but was starving as soon as I woke up so I had to get up for brekkie pronto. OH still in bed but claims to be getting up soon..

Our plan for today is to sort the bills into some kind of order (hole punch at the ready!), go to Asda for my Bounty pack and some other bits and brave the DIY stores for paint sample pots.

Hope everyone has a good day xx

Excuse me posting this here, I've also asked the question on a pregnancy-specific forum too, but I'd be interested to hear the MSE perspective!

We don't have a bath in the house, just a large (wet room) shower. Not a problem for me, and I accept that we'll have to buy a baby bath for the Bean for the first months.

But what does everyone think about taking baby into the shower with me? At what sort of age could I start this, obviously taking care to have the shower at the right temperature and on a gentle flow setting?

I realised yesterday I haven't had hot cross buns for about ten days! I was eating them all the time when they first appeared but not actually been to a big shop for about two weeks... Really fancy one right now! :(

Hi everyone! Was wondering if I could join the forum.

My estimated due date is 23/10/09 with my second little 'un - my first was born nearly 7 years ago so totally forgot what this is like! Especially the tiredness arggh!! Have my first "official" scan on Thurs but had one a couple of weeks ago due to early bleeding which, whilst scaring the life out of me, fingers crossed - seems to have settled down.

    Afternoon all,

Im at work today, 2 weeks working still to go, sooo tempted to finish early but feel guilty about doing that!!

    Krystal - bag looks fab,

Need to say a big Congrats to AM, Yay!! hope all is well.

Think it would be a bad idea to take baby into shower, too slippy and you couldnt wash and hold on, just my opinion though.

wow Fidget October due date, now im scared!!!! less than 5 weeks to go, arghhh

Oh my god, I was going to say morning, but it's afternoon already!
    Afternoon all!

Welcome to Fidget! Another one below me to push me up the list a bit!

Tigster - I would also be concerned about the possibility of slipping in the shower. Not a qualified opinion though, but I would be super careful.

Thanks for the concern about slipping guys ... but installing a bath is not exactly feasible! So at some point, the Bean will have to move from baby bath to shower ... Or should I invest in a large paddling pool? :rotfl:

Obviously I'm going to be sensible - not trying to wash myself at the same time, ensuring the floor isn't slippery, probably sitting down with the Bean when in there ....

Surely I can't be the only first-time Mum who has only had a shower, and not a bath? I can't find the answer yet online or in books, and the midwife isn't interested in seeing me for another 4 weeks.
