Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker Debt-free and Proud!
    Afternoon ladies,
Gosh it's been quiet in here this weekend, it normally takes me hours to catch up!

DH has been busy this morning in the garden (I am wondering if he has started "nesting" already, it normally takes weeks of nagging for him to do anything!) He has weeded the garden and has sanded down the garden furniture and started varnishing it ready for the summer. So now he is taking a break and watching the Grand Prix whilst the first coat dries (Of course I can't help him because of the fumes from the varnish ;)!)

I have stuffed and rolled a breast of lamb which is roasting in the oven and smells sooooo good .

aless - We normally grow our own Veg (tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, onions, chillis, peppers, herbs etc.) Although we aren't bothering growing veg this year, just herbs and maybe some baby lettuce leaves. My only "tip" would be, water them late in the evening if possible, so the water soaks into the soil and doesn't evaporate in the sun.
    Value of prizes 2010 - 2017: £8374 Wins 2022: Magic set

My inlaws haven't offered to buy anything yet - not that I'm waiting/needing for them too, but I do want them to feel included, if that makes sense. They have bought a little outfit and I do know MIL is knitting a blanket. This one will be their third grandchild so I think the novelty has worn off for them a bit.

SIL paid £50 towards our 4d scan as a thankyou for OH doing some computer programming work for us. She used to pay for us to go out for a meal but thought we might like the money towards the scan instead now as we won't go out and have a bottle of wine between us these days. Plus she knows I usually have pate as a starter when we go out for a nice meal and obviously I can't do that these days! Not sure if she's going to go back to paying for meals out or just paying OH in nappies and wipes after baby is born! ;):D

In contrast, this is my parents' first grandchild. Mum has been picking up cute outfits when she sees something she likes (there are two tshirts in the wardrobe - "Grandma's Little Hero" and "Grandad's Little Helper" ;)), and I've noticed a stash of wipes growing in the wardrobe (she's buying no more than three of each brand so we can try them out then decide!). She's also saving money in an account which she insists she's going to transfer to me when we start shopping so "it feels like it's our money we're spending" The money is going on the travel system and anything else we want with the change - bouncer chair etc. We're going to add it together with the money we've saved then go on a spree :D

searching that's a shame but you are going about things the right way, I read somewhere that it is a good idea to keep a diary as well to log the dates, times and duration of the excessive noise.

I have my 12 week booking in appt and scan on Thursday,(not scared that there is no baby there as I was with dd as I can hear the heartbeat really well with my dopple) and was curious about the neuchal translucancy test but my hospital doesn't do it and will only offer you a triple screening blood test if you are over 35.
Does anyone know if there are any other ways they use the scan to look for possible indicators of downs? I was 22 when I had dd and didn't even think once about the possibility...
    Coming soon............
Brand new baby first showing in November!

I fell over in Jan, there was a hole in the pavement... Landed on my knees... Was OK apart from I just wanted to cry! Was right outside the post office and all the dolites were there with their cans of tenants super... Was shamefull... But baby was fine...

This is the first real grandchild for hubbys parents... He's not really talking to his Mother at the minute... Not that we'd expect anything other than false promises from her anyway... And his Dad hasn't mentioned buying anything for the baby either... It'll be the 4th grandchild for my parents... And as far as I can remember... My Dad's never been particularly generous when it comes to the big stuff... Don't know what my sister got when she had hers... But he bought me a pack of nappies and 2 outfits when Aimee was born... My Mum's bought us some bits and bobs, cot quilt and bumper set... Some bibs and shoulder cloths... Little things she's seen reduced etc... But we're just bumbling along and getting things ourselves as we need/can afford them... Found a baby swing on eBay last night that's only down the road... And the seller said they'd drop it off for us if we want it!

And when we got back from church today I found out that one of the ladies hubby works with had bought us a couple of baby t-shirts and a johnsons baby box round... Apparently she bought them for us when we got married waaaaaaaay back in September! Very lovely of her I thought...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
