Hey, where is everyone at the moment? It's very quiet!
Just wanted to ask what peoples experience of Placenta Previa is, apparently i have it because they picked it up in my scan on Wednesday, but does anyone know what the stats are for it moving or for me needing a C-Section?

No idea about the stats but I had it with DD2 (diagnosed on a scan after bleeding at around 14 weeks), but it had moved sufficiently by my 32 weeks scan and I had a VBAC. My bf bled on and off through her second tri with it, but by the time she got to 34 weeks was also told it had moved enough for a VBAC but she opted for an elective c section anyway.

would you believe zoes just handed me a letter she had in her bag since yesterday  saying they're banned from flavoured waters  x
God I hate those type of letters, who ho the school think they are telling you what to give your child! BIL got a letter when he was at high school asking that parents didn't send their kids to school with crisps and/or chocolate I mean !!!!!! can't we have anything nice?!

Tia - do you have a good girly friend or a sister that could come and stay with you?

Tine - Whats Kira like with the hoover? my nan's dog was so lazy he'd just lie there while she hovered him :rotfl: much easier than brushing if its to get the dead hairs out!

Ickle - I make hubby's little man wear his rain coat because it tends to not set of BHs if he does ;) plus what heavily preggers lady want to be dealing with the aftermath when you can barely reach down there :rotfl:

did they say how bad it was? sometimes its just the edge thats over the cervix so as u get bigger it moves up out of the way but I think its much rarer to have the more serious kind when it is completely covering the exit - that would deffo require a c/s.
Did they tell you that jiggy was off the cards? it is supposed to be but a few ladies who have only slight PP weren't told to not get jiggy.

Whilst the thought has occured to me... she hates it lol She tries to kill it given half a chance so I dread to think what she'd think to it actually touching her

HypnoNu I really wouldn't worry about it yet :) still plenty of time for it to move out of the way and they will keep an eye on it and let you know what happens or what they'd recommend :)
at just under 37 weeks (tomorrow :j) I've already realised that SO much can change over night in the late stages to be honest...

She didn't say how far across it was, she just said that i would be scanned again at 36 weeks and then they would see if it had moved or if i needed to have a C-Section, to be honest the woman scanning me wasn't great or overly helpful so she didn't give us much info.
She did say if i had any bleeding to call the hospital but that was it.

Hi everyone, i've been a bit of a lurker lately.
I'm 37 weeks pregnant and this is my fourth. I'm so nervous about giving birth again it's unreal, for the last 3 days i've had constand back ache as well as a few cramps so each day i'm thinking is this it.:rotfl:I think it's wishful thinking.:D

    Welcome Vanilla and Myatt! :j

I am sooo tired. I woke up about five times last night, totally unable to get comfy. Bubba was kicking and moving about all the time, I needed the loo three times, and I couldn;t get comfy any way up except lying on my back which isn;t allowed

I know I can have a nap later but I'm keeping OH awake and he has to go to work so I feel guilty, plus it's really annoying.

And then I got up today to work and have been emailed and told I actually finished it all yesterday and there is no more to come - so I could have stayed in bed!

    Humph.

Added to that is the fact I am worrying constantly about being a rubbish mum, and a rubbish wife, and that I'm sooo unattractive (OH says I'm being silly but I can't remember the last time he touched me in a way that was more than just friendly IYSWIM and he hasn't told me I look nice for months even though I'm really trying to make an effort to look good and not be in trackies all the time).

Guess I'm just having a low time at the moment. Hope it passes. I have a history of depression so going to bring it up with MW when I see her on Wednesday as I'm worried about it and I'm concerned about PND cos my mum had it so bad with me she went into hospital and I was given up for fostering for a while and I can't bear the thought that will happen to me and Bubba :(

    Sorry to go on.

On the subject of Nookie I can't believe how long some of u have gone with it!

TBH OH is often more up for it than me but even after a week I'm getting a bit fraught!! It doesn't matter how busy we are - we always have sex, granted if we are mega tired it's just in spoons position but don't think we've gone for more than a week ever!

OH might change his view when I get bigger but I doubt it, in fact he'll probably be worse.

My OH won't wear rain jackets :( so gues it will have to be withdrawal as I get further along :o
HypnoNu - perhaps u could speak to your MW to get some more information. Am sure you will be fine and it will move in plenty of time.

Chris and I were just nodding off and I've suddenly remembered I've got to go round to mums for a surveyor  can u beleive they want to actually come in and do a proper survey when their house is worth around £100k and the new mortgage is for something like 15k :p

The biggest problem we have with nookie at the moment is positions... We just can't do our fave ones because the bump gets right in the way...

I'm so tired, don't really understand it... I had a fairly decent nights sleep last night which I'm putting down to not doing anything yesterday so I didn't ache as badly when we went to bed... However, Aimee did wake up at 5:30 and come in for a cuddle and a kiss of my belly and I couldn't drop back off after that... Think we're going to have to get her some black out blinds the way she's going!

Did manage to get Aimee's water sample today though, 2 weeks after the paediatrician requested it... Hopefully the Drs will actually send this one off... And just been for a cup of tea and some toast at a hotel down the road with my friend which made a nice change, she commented that we should make the most of it before there is a small child squawking in a car seat next to us... I can't wait to have a cuddle with my baby :) But I am a little nervous about doing it all again....

Oh, and I have no nesting instincts at the minute... I look at the mess and then think of the back and hip pain and decide it's not worth it... I might wait till I go into labour and assume my Mum will take care of it before I get home again... But then seeing as I spent 2years doing her cleaning and since I stopped Aimee comes home with black socks again... I won't hold my breath ;)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
