Sugar, glad all is well When you say it's measuring big in the body, is that the abdominal measurement? Because mine measured bigger than average there, but I do believe certain factors such as swallowing amniotic fluid right before the measurement is taken can influence that... Hope your Dr Tues is as good as the Dr I had yesterday!

Sugar - I personally wouldn't worry about one measurement being out, I had a scan at 33+3 and bubbas measurements varied from 30ish - 34ish Its just that its very rae that a person is completely average
My sister and I are the same height but her legs are about 3" shorter, she is 2 dress sizes smaller than me and her boobs look huge next to mine even though shes a 32C and I'm (when not preg) a 32D-DD just as my dad and I have the same inside leg measurement but he's a whole foot taller than me!

Well my tax credits renewal just dropped through the door... No P60 for either of us has arrived yet... Hubby asked his manager and apparently, because they have until the end of May to get them out... That's when he can expect his! I have no idea about mine... All those that work for the NHS... Should it just come through the post like the payslips do? Or do I need to ring someone and chase it?

I've just had 2 welsh cakes which have helped a bit, I'm a bit dehydrated but every sip of anything I have makes me feel woozy - weird!

I'd have thought it would arrive at the time your April wage slip would have come had you been getting one, have you spoken just to one of ur colleagues to see if they've had theirs?
I'm expecting hubbys to come with his april wage slip but things are running a smoothly as usual because the girl that would usually sort everything is on maternity leave - I really must get my self employed status sorted - oops!!

Good thinking Sami, might facebook one of them later... Or see if I can spot her down the school lol.. I have hubby's actual wage amount... And I have my payslips so could add up what I earnt... But do they need to see the actual paperwork? It's all so complicated... <sigh>

I'd be interested to know more about how you felt with foster kids around tho coz that is one of my worries

Mum started fostering when I was 10yo, I remember the first 2 kids she had were 2 girls say 6 and 8 - they had been through it with an abusive step-dad who used to stump fags out on them and hit them. My heart went out to them. Aafter about 6 months (with their feet firmly under the table) the trouble started. I would be out with friends and they would see me - They would run home and say I was snogging boys and smoking, don't get me wrong I wasn't an angel and I was hanging around with older people who were smoking but I wasn't!
In Mum's eyes these kids wouldn't lie and could do no wrong so she always believed them over me. After this I turned into a devil child as if I was getting blamed for things and being grounded I thought I might as well do them. In the end I got shipped off to my Dad's at the opposite end of the country with no warning. Didn't speak to my mum for about 2 years but we get on fine now.
The 2 girls stayed with Mum for ages until one went back to her own Mum at 14 and ended up on Drugs whilst the other stayed til she was 16 and then tried to get Mum reported!!

They also fostered other kids short term - normally teenage girls :eek:
Mum also looked after a young disabled boy who was living with grandparents, he went to Mum Full-time and she was going to adopt him. He was like a brother to my younger brother and sister and they doted on him. He had a much better quality of life living with my mum until social services decided to house him somewhere else out of the blue. The whole family was devastated as he had been there for years and was such a different person from when he came.

Mum now has 2 brothers long term who are lovely (11 and 13) but also has a teenage girl who is a nightmare. She is the top foster carer in the county and has done an excellent job, she has had kids waiting to go on remand, kids who are between foster homes, kids on respite care, disabled and able-bodied kids. She does often hide her valuables if she has a temporary kid staying and there have been numerous times when the kids have run away because they don't want to be in care so the police were often round the house at midnight.

I think that because I was older it affected me more because I was used to it just being our family and it felt like we were being invaded all the time. I think my younger brother and sister who were probably 1 and 3 when they started fostering are so used to it, that it doesn't affect them anywhere near as much. They are used to having different kids in the house, sharing rooms and stuff.

Mum is coming to see me next month and will be bringing the 2 foster boys as well as my sis and bro but she will stay in a travelodge with the 2 boys and my step-dad as I don't have room for them all. It's a bit of a pain as we have no real family time but I don't mind as I know these kids are having a better quality of life. She takes them on holidays - sometimes for 6 weeks if they go to the villa. How many kids NOT in foster care get that?!

My step-dad does lots of driving for the council to top their wage up, he does school runs so driving foster kids from other homes to schools which might be hour away and home again or driving foster kids to go on access with their parents in the holidays.

Mum has always had school age kids because she wanted the day to herself and then have a house full evenings and weekends, she recently got a job in a school so is working 8am to 4pm and fostering as my Step-Dad is there for when they get home from school and he does all the cooking!

What sort of age were you looking at fostering and short/long term?

Hi just to let you know i went to the docs this morn i couln't get in last night as they only have 2 docs in this week. I have a viral infecton and have just been given some cream. I told him i was pg and he said oh congrats i guess then! I know they aren't bothered but it how he said it there wasn't any need. Booked in while i was there for all the point it is as i have to ring midwife up myself but i am going to wait another week before i ring as i lost my last one at 6/7weeks had had to cancel my apt

well back from town metalic pink ds lite in tow.. £61 score!!!!! i love my work sometime shes gonna love it but it means ive got the next 8 months to build up games for madam ...
krystal im waiting for both my renewal form and p60 but they say it says at the bottom of your arpil payslip how much you've earnt in the last year x
