Good Morning everyone,
Not been around much this week as I'm at work everyday, looking forward to a day off Monday. Haven't had a chance to catch up yet.
I went to the GP yesterday as I've been having a lot of pain around my pelvis area. He just gave me co-dydramol and told me I have to lie down as much as possible. Not very easy to do when I have to work and no way I can afford to go on Maternity leave early. Hopefully the painkillers will do the job.
Hope everyone's well. Will have to have a marathon catch up on my days off next week.

Hey up,
Delay in replying but I applied for my HIPG back in Feb.
Was wanting to do some baking (muffins, banana cake, apple cake) today, got all ingredients and was loading things on the till yest at Morribobs to find I have forgotten to buy a muffin tin and a loaf tin. Dimebar. I overdid it yest, by time I got to car I could hardly walk. Am going to take it easy today - reading, watching Desperate Housewives box sets (I never watched the series) with feet up - my feet and ankles are huge and it is quite painful walking. Plus in the night the babes kept bunching up inside me and it is so painful!
And then I see I am moving up the list (16 from top!) when I still have a month to go - don't think I will last!Proud mother of twin boys - double the trouble and twice the pleasure! :T0 -
Morning everyone.
I have had no sleep at all last night. Jasmine was up sick at 2am and then just coughed for the rest of the night. She is sleeping now, but she fell asleep in my bed beside her dad so I had to go on the sofa and it just isnt long enough to get comfy on!!
Tried to get in her bed, but the steps were too much !!!!! (I'm obviously bigger than I thought !!)
Hope everyoe else is wellThe two best things I have done with my life

STOPTOBER CHALLANGE ... here we go !!0 -
Morning peeps,
Back at work today after my sick day yesterday. We had our first NCT antenatal class last night from 7pm to 10pm. There were another 7 couples there. Just talked about the basics of labour (ie what the signs are, when to call the labour ward and when to go in etc) and also about the anatomy. We were told to get in tune with our foofs and have a look with a mirror to see whats what (obviously not in class though!). There were some really good diagrams of how a womans insides change during labour so that hubby could see why I complain of heartburn as my insides are all squished. I think he thought I was just making it up! We talked a bit about breech births and how common it is now to just give you a c-section. She said about 25% of women end up with a c-section now. We also got into little groups and talked about daddy's role in labour and how he will feel and what he can do to support us.
There wasnt really anything new for me as I have been doing lots of reading and you guys have been a fountain of knowledge but I think it was great for hubby and was a bit of an eye opener for him. The 3 hours went really quickly and the teacher was very funny. Not sure if the people in the class are going to be my bestest buddys but they all seemed quite nice!
Next week we will have the BF councillor there for 2 hours. Hubby will be there too! Then we are also going to look at how hubby's can massage us, reflexology, birth ball excercises and baby massage. Is it realy sad to be excited about all of this!!
I am reserving judgement as to whether the class are worth the £300.00 I paid but as hubby has been even more attentive and super lovely ever since (even gave me a mini-massage) it might be worth it for that alone!Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j0 -

Well obviously I'm not a doctor and the only way to know would be to go and see one  but I have more than 'just' swelling, the swelling does get worse on and off depending on how much I've be stood/walking/sat etc. The reason I know its prolapse is because you can see things aren't where they used to beangela6834 wrote: »If im on my feet for a while everything starts to swell up but if i sit down again it goes back down...this happens quite quickly and a few times a day. Is that what your feeling or am i worrying about nothing? I have never had any problems before now x

Cheapskate/moneymaker - I'm not sure if Chris couldn't or wouldn't wake me this morning but when I did wake up he was sat next to me playing with my old camera I said "where did you get that?" and he replied "downstairs" I thought he was making it up until I noticed he was wearing a pair of socks that I'd left in the lounge last night!
I think it could have been that he couldn't wake me because he came and shoved me out of my bed at about 6am so I went to the other side and shoved his daddy out
:rotfl: (Daddy was due to get up at about 6:30 anyway) I don't seam to be getting any proper deep sleep these days
TickleP - just make sure if ur determined to try a vaginal birth you insist that they scan you to make sure bubs is feet first and be prepared for them saying it's not working when you are in labour and end up with a c/sec
I'm quite proud of you that as a first timer you are determined to try it out! I'm not sure I would be so sure the first time around, Having Chris has changed me alot tho! Mummies know how to fight their corner;)0 -
Morning, hope your all well, especially Mrs Moc. X
Sami, remember that GBS is ok if it's only on the swab, then you could go on to have the urine test, it's if it's in that there is a problem, my letter from my consultant says that.
And to all you ladies struggling to go to the toilet, bran flakes every day!!!Too many children, too little time!!!

thanks Tara, fingers crossed its clear coz I'm not sure how much fighting I'd have to do for HB if I had it - I'm just thinking better safe than sorry
I used to love bran flakes but the thought of them now knocks me sick _pale_
I am really limited to what cereals I can have coz I'm allergic to corn and oats and they sneak them into pretty much everything!:mad:
this week I've worked my way through a raisin loaf for my brekkies - YUM!0 -
I can't believe how lovely my MW's are, the amount of trouble they go to is amazing. The only annoying thing is when you go for your appointment they are always far behind as everyone chats away to them. I've learnt to take my book. Really don't mind though as you always feel like you're going in to visit a friend. I read about some of the other experiences on here and feel very lucky.Too many children, too little time!!!
