  • Evening all :)

Had a pretty successful trip to Boots tonight :D Could not believe my eyes 2x No7 peel vouchers turned up on the ACM, along with one free highlighter voucher + 1 free line lift :D First time I'd got any of these vouchers, and really wasn't expecting them to come up!

Mr Buffy got fed up with me twittering on about how best to make use of not one but two peel vouchers, and as I needed a new concealer, we did the following:

    SHOP 1

    No7 glycolic peel £17.60
    No7 line lift £12.70
    No7 Instant Radiance concealer £0.00 (342)
    Essentials shaving gel £0.97
    Essentials shaving gel £0.97
    Essentials shaving gel £0.00 (342)
Aquafresh 3 way toothbrush £1.00 (on clearance shelf, no idea of original price)
    Aquafresh 3 way toothbrush £1.00 ( " )

Handed over vouchers one at a time + double points voucher, so total to pay = £12.74 with 96 pts back

    SHOP 2

    No7 peel £17.60
No7 highlighter in Dandy pink £10.00
No7 Stay Perfect nail varnish in 'Twinkle' £0.00 (342) - not seen this colour before, a lovely really pale pink with flecks of glitter - looks fab with the ltd ed 'Twinkle' lip gloss from Christmas '08 :D

Handed over appropriate vouchers again, so total to pay = £8.80

So in the end paid £21.54 for over £60 of goods, so well chuffed with that :D Cheers Bargain Brummy Babe (think that's right? :o) for spotting the bargain in the first place :)

Clearance wise there were loads of toothbrushes (mainly Aquafresh ones), Botanics hair dye, Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B eau de parfum 30ml for £10, quite a few Hugo boss deodorants and such, and lots of cardboard Easter bunny sets (think they had chocolate eggs in?)

  • Brill shop BVB and Mr BVB!!
  • Someone was asking about the Clearance store. It's at Beckton, which is East Ham/Barking in East London/Essex borders. The address is the Triangle Retail Park. I don't know of any other Clearance store locations.

You can't use vouchers, but you can use points to pay for things, and they are heavily discounted, but it's a hit and miss affair as to what'll be there.

If you have a look on the store locator section on dot com, it'll show you a map, but if you wanted to go by Public Transport, then the TFL website (Transport for London), will you give you a variety of routes. HTH

So the Nivea lip glosses are reduced then...that would explain why some lady stampeded past me and grabbed several sets tonight then :D I did wonder but the SEL didn't look like a reduction, and I thought it best not to investigate...I need more lip glosses like I need a hole in the head...

*Edited to add* Sorry if this is a bit off topic, but I wonder if anyone here has bought the Boots Expert mattifier (or at least I think that's what it's called) It's a liquid version of the No7 Shine Control. There was a tester there so I tried a bit on my hand and through out the evening my hand has got itchier and itchier, with a nice fetching rash developing  I guess that's why we have these things called testers - to see if we get on with them! Somehow I think I'll give this product a miss, which is a shame as even with a £5 No7 voucher promo this was still cheaper than the No7 Shine Control.

    Absolutely bizarre!

    Hi sally06,

I hope you got some good bargains in wilko's /boots this morning. I shall have to keep an eye on the hair accessories and bags too - especially if they go down 75%!!:D
I didn't have time this morning to have a good look around!!!
I like the bourjois nailvarnish remover too - in fact I have just been using it on my toe nails. I think it's worth 44p!!!
I shall have to save some birthday money if we get a good tillspit on Wednesday - I really hope it is a good one:rolleyes:.....

Hiya:) I hope you enjoy your trip to London. I have more time off work next week:jI plan to go to westfield on Wednesday. I can't wait:) I'm really missing bootsing in London. It's not quite as exciting in our town is it?

I'm sure nine tails will let you know what's in the Kensington store (I think you asked in a previous post about that store?)I won't go back in there myself until I get a written apology. I still haven't heard from the manager about the incident with the SG:confused:how long does it usually take for boots to answer a complaint?

I will let you know if I spot any more BJ nail polish remover in our local:D
    I hope you have a nice b'day next week:beer:

I'm now going to sound like a proper idiot but can someone give me a proper explanation of 'the magic 3'? I keep reading about it but what with abbreviations, 'the dreaded beep' and joining in half way through, I really don't have a clue.
I'm still unclear of all the abbreviations, is there anyway that they could be put at the top of every page rather then me, and I suspect others, having to go back to the first page?

As others have said, there is no way to have the abbreviations etc at the top of every page - but why not just open a further browser window so that you can flick between them until you become familiar with them? You'll get to know them all much quicker than you think!

    Enjoy x
