Flying_Fresian,
Thanks - I have been working my guts off over the last few months to chuck money at the debt. I'm having to slow down a bit due to changing jobs in this April.
I love the debt ticker.
BBOriginal debt at LBM July 2008, £47, 654.34. Debt at January 2016, £21,443. Barclaycard [STRIKE]£9,000[/STRIKE]£8,756, Tesco cc [STRIKE]£3000[/STRIKE]£1,136. Debenhams storecard [STRIKE]£350[/STRIKE]£263, OD [STRIKE]£3,500[/STRIKE] £3,000, Corp Tax £3,036, Study loan £1,750, Smaller debts £2,000.
Since my LBM I have not been fully committed so now I have had a 2nd LBM.
Aiming to be debt free by December 2016:D0 -
Hiya Flying, not following you, honest!
I'd love to join this challenge... I've had to step out of the DF in 2009, as I'd have to pay off over £500pm, and my budget just doesn't allow that. I'm 30 in March '10:eek: and that would give me an extra 4 paydays to play with. My DFD currently stands at June '10, so I think it is doable. I have £4506.95 to clear by then, providing I don't add to my debt

You're on the list missus!
Welcome to the debt-free birthday club0 -
Ok, I'm back with some calculations - and it's VERY scary!!! Total debt as of today is £19,544 (this does not include OH's student loan wich I won't count). Has actually gone up a tad since end of Jan when I had my LBM but that is due to OH not being on the wagon yet and spending on his CC again:mad:. Need to have a serious talk very, very soon!
Snowball says we need to pay £1,100 per month to debts in order to be DF by Nov 2010.... That is A LOT of money we don't have coming in yet. At the moment we pay minimum on all cards and loans, which is about £550 per month. That means we have to double the amount in order to achieve our goal. If we are really serious about this there are ways that we can do this, but will have to pull this together with OH otherwise I won't be able to. He is currently a full time student and his only income is his student loan (for one more year) but has prospects of a paid part time job from September onwards and he did say he would give me any money he earns to pay off debts.:T
Can we do it? It's like a mammoth task but I think we can and it will be well worth it. Ok, off to find OH to have a talk, wish me luck....LBM 31/01/2009: £19,422

Good luck panambi - I'll cross my fingers for you!! I've added your debts on to the members list, so you can report your progress as and when you want to!0

Hi everyone,
Room for one more? I'm really hoping to be debt free by the time I'm 30 to. I'm 26, 27 in June so my DFD is June 2012. I've got around £28,000 of debt to get rid of of. I really need some help to stay focused because I'm pregnant - due in August and it's VERY VERY tempting to go and buy lots of new lovely baby things!
I'm at work at the mo, but later on I'll post my actual amount!
Good luck everyone!lightbulb moment Jan 07 - DFW 417!debtwas£32k

Right then folks, I have added up the nightmare that is my debt and the final total is £22019.77:eek:
£8740.27 is credit card debt and £13279.50 is a loan (or great financial disaster, as i like to call it...)
I'm not sure that I can clear the whole lot by Dec 2010, but I would certainly like to be rid of my credit card debt, so if you could put me down for £8740.27, that would be great.
Sorry - I had to have a ticker - they are very cool...hopefully, with the help of all of you guys, I'll reach my pot of gold by the time I'm 35!:TMBNA - [STRIKE]£7068.60 [/STRIKE] £7060.00 Egg - 1422.35 A&L - [STRIKE]£249.32[/STRIKE] £215.00Loan - £13279.50 :rolleyes:0 -
I'm in the ticker club too! I've started from zero so i can mark the progress i've made since joining this challenge.
Good luck to us all :beer:One step at a time0
