Getting to Stanstead Airport from Euston

I'd try and see how much they are charging you from London to Bishops Stortford as they might be charging a premuim to get to Stansted and the saving might make a difference as well as I say, it is only 3 or 4 miles difference and it could be a huge saving. If you go via Bishops Stortford it will include the tube from London Euston to Tottenham Hale so there would be no extra expense but try to avoid 4.30-6.30pm weekdays as there really will be no room to get cases on, it is every man, woman and child for themselves during rush hour and it's a fight to get on without luggage!!

It's £27 for all of us on the train that day leaving glasgow at 1.40pm, the same train going to stansted (or to bishops stortford) is £36 for us all using our family railcard. Other trains that day vary from £45 to over £100 for us all. We are in no rush to get down (as our flight is the next day) so can pick the train with the cheapest fare :j

Thats a good price. Yes, I know the SE is expensive as I used it to commue each day (they used to let me have first class on there as I was pg) but thought if you 'broke' your journery to stansted you might get it cheaper. Have a look at Peterborough or Brun to Stansted and it might be even cheaper.

I remember the days of 'Go' when 3 of us got return flights and taxes from Stansted to Glasgow for £36. We were back home before the rest of the wedding party had checked out that morning!! And we had luggage!!

That is a fab price though, very good, certainly worth paying the taxi fare. mess around with destinations to see how close you can get.

Just booked the train down. Grand total of £26.40 for 2 adults, 2 children using a family railcard. I'm well impressed at the price. Now need to watch out for advance fares coming out for the day we come home. Cheapest I've seen so far is £46.80

£26.40 for 4 people from Glasgow to Stansted is such a bargain when you consider that a single from Liverpool Street to Stansted is £18 for one person.....

I know-it's crazy.
It costs an extra £6 to book to stansted instead of euston. A single from euston to stansted is £37.40 for the 4 of us even with the family railcard
