HELP!! poisoned dog

I think fc, that the dog is actually not with the OP but with a grown up daughter. I assumed it was a child using paints but it now sounds like house paint?
£102 is nothing compared with the tragedy if the pup died. It may well be he will need to be kept in and on a drip0 -

no, its her mums dog but it was her daughter who was painting with water based paints. sounds like kids paints... you dont wash your brush out in water otherwise.
the dogs back with her mother now, not at the OP's houseWhat matters most is how well you walk through the fire0 -
just spoke to my dad she's doing allot better seems very interested in why they are out in the car. expect them to be at the vets within half an hour provided mum got the addy and directions right. will probably not find out more untill tomorrow, but will update when i hear. thanks again to everyone.slowly going nuts at the world:T0

just to clear up it was kids water based paints used buy my daughter in my mothers house so its grannies dog thats ill and my daughter is feeling terrible for not moving the dirty water.me too for what it is worth.slowly going nuts at the world:T0

kids water based paints could be anything from block watercolours to powdered poster paints, or acrylics (usually in tubes) - they are generally not toxic to humans, but could be to a dog, especially a tiny and young one. As the dog certainly sounds unwell I dont think you could do anything other than see the vet.0

Well, we are all thinking about her and hoping everything is ok ... your Mum wouldn't have forgiven herself if she hadn't taken her and she'd become worse ...0 -

Agree with you there ... I paid £700 for my little guy, and I would pay anything to keep him fit and well ... money doesn't come into it .. even if the vet examines the little one and says all is well, it will have been worth it for them to have peace of mind!0 -
Its s0ds law that they always start to perk up on the way to the vets - here is a confession - and I apologise in advance, but... when I was first driving, I backed the car down the drive, and felt the back wheel go over an unexpected hump....
I got out and horror of horrors... found Mick, our white terrier x, (prob JRT x Staffie x something else!) laying on the drive, motionless, with a perfect grey tyre track across his body...
I scooped him up, panicking, shoved him on the passenger seat and drove the dying dog to the vets at top speed. We got there, he was almost lifeless, I was crying, I carried him into the waiting room, which was full of cats and dogs with their owners...
.. cue the fastest death-bed recovery on earth - he sprang back to life, tried to eat a cat, scare the big dogs, and almost pulled me off my feet!!
Went into vets, Mick was examined, no broken bones, no internal bleeding, all A OK - then on the way out of the consulting room he looked back at the vet... and peed up the doorframe!
Hope your mum's little dog is ok, its better safe than sorry, do keep us informed.0 -
oh f/c you made me laugh so much i started crying. but it's in hope that's what she dose too. fingers toe's and legs crossed for a good out come and a vets bill that won't cause bankruptcy lolslowly going nuts at the world:T0

Hope that ickle dog is ok.
Can I ask though, how come they haven't got a vet? Has she had her puppy vaccs? The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.0
