This looks useful. I will investigate it.
  • Can anyone tell me how long the whole process takes when ordering deals vouchers? E.g. how long does it take from the point of ordering to actually receive them?

I've got a 21st birthday coming up and am absolutely borasic so I thought I might be able to get a gift from Goldsmiths :D

If you do it online you will get the vouchers in about 3 days....if doing it by post usually about a week.

I once sent my vouchers on the Monday and had the deals tokens back in my hands two days later.
  • Thanks everyone, the birthday is in three weeks so hopefully should have enough time :)

Beware anyone who hasn't received their vouchers yet - you now won't get them until the May posting.

Apparently there is a cut off date of one week after the date the till receipt says you will get your vouchers by and after this date they can not be reissued.

I phoned customer services this morning as I hadn't got my vouchers but was told there is a lock on their computer which stops vouchers being re-issued after this cut off date.

The fact that Tesco haven't told us this date exists makes no difference .

While I appreciate that its not Tesco's fault that Royal Mail haven't delivered the vouchers neither is it my fault that I haven't received them and I shouldn't have to wait until May to spend my points.

I have also missed out on the extra coupons which come attached to the letter - Customer services have given me 200 points as a goodwill gesture and will pass on my comments about informing customers of the cut off date.

What is more annying is that we emailed enquiring about the missing vouchers a few days ago ( i.e. before the cut off date) But as usual with Tesco had no reply apart from the automatically generated response.
  • I don't know whether this is the right place for my post.

But I love reading these Tesco threads about mis-prices and would love to do it. But how do you all go about it?

Do you make a list keep anote of what the shelve price was then check your till receipt?

I would love to know so I can start doing it!

I have a small notebook that I write my shopping list in then as I pop the stuff in the trolley I write the price next to the item (if it's per kg then I write that price in) any extras I buy I add onto end of list which helps cut back on the impulse buys. I load the shopping in the car, quickly double check the receipt and either go back in armed with the offending items & receipt or drive off knowing I haven't been overcharged. Obviously if I think there has been an overprice I double check before I leave the store but they seem slightly more sympathetic when I trudge back in with item & receipt.
    Hope that helps

having worked in a supermarket I always check my receipt before i leave the shop. So many new products come and go and at time the cashier hasn't got a clue and there no one on the back of c/outs to ask do they guess, esp on fruit and veg not many people know the dif between mandarine/clemantine etc and there can be big price discrepancies between them.

PS not telling which supermarket it was.
