Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
    Hi Kaja and all others:
Silly me I didn't see there was already a discussion on this deal and posted a comprehensive speel about how good it was (with Phone number for any difficulties) about it the other day!

I eat my words now. Should be fantastic but in reality the Airmiles fares themselves are a pile of pants.
I've just converted £70 of hard saved Tesco vouchers into 3360 airmiles (ie. £70 x 48 miles, or £140 x 24 miles). Logged onto Airmiles site and was dismayed to find that the best deal I could find cost me more in money than I've ever paid for same flights (plus airmiles on top) than the best current deals on Travel supermarket. From Edinburgh- Gatwick- Bordeaux (and I'm totally flexible on dates in July/ Aug) cost 3100 miles Plus £114 plus £85.90 taxes!!!! I have got flights there for the last 3 years from £150- £180 all in on internet!! I understand the earlier you book the better, but this does not match the screenscraper sites, which are currently quoting me £188 all in on other weekdays. Can anyone advise what I should do with these airmiles, is there a link to find the cheapest days to travel on the airmiles site? The BA calendar doesn't seem to work for Airmiles. How can I get this ridiculous price down? Am I missing something? Info gratefully received.
    Hi
I've just converted £85 worth of coupons to Airmiles because I saw a brilliant offer for the flights I needed. I did it on the internet onthe Tesco site Tuesday then checked Airmiles website yesterday and the offer isn't there anymore!!! I will have to keep my eyes open incase it appears again!!!
Hold on to your Airmiles is my advice. We had a few thousand in our account for ages but if you keep looking you get the odd offer that is brilliant. Sometimes it's in an e-mail and sometimes just on their website, but keep looking........
P.S The B.A calendar does seem a little dodgy at the moment but is usually good and a good way of getting a fab deal.

We keep stocked up on BA Miles and wait for their 'half price' BA Miles sale to come round.

Should have 100,000 BA Miles or more by the November statement :j

    Hey all,

Me and 4 college friends are planning to go to drayton manor. I've had £20 worth of vouchers which i've exchanged for £80 worth of Drayton Manor Deals that we can all use.

Will i be ok using them at the theme park using them for my friends or do i need to pretend we are all family lol?

    Hi Kaja
Thanks for your help. I got the airmiles to buy flights to a specific place each summer as my Dad has a small place nr. Bordeaux, and I get a month's freebie stay there. Can't afford to splash out on hotels etc. on a deal somewhere. So will have to wait till Bordeaux comes round again! Might be good idea to join their email as you say.

Just been to see Mr T with my QK '£1.25 off B&T' voucher and it didn't work as before!

Up until now, if I bought items on BOGOF, total price £5+ before discount, they would accept the voucher, leaving only a small amount to pay. Today, the SA said that I hadn't spent enough.... Boo Hoo!

Has this happened to anybody else? Sorry if I've missed any comments to that effect, manic week.

I got some tesco healthy living coupons in the post the other day (2 100 extra points ones) when the assistant scanned them in they went in as £1 off my bill instead of 100 points, I queried this at customer services but the person went off and after waiting for about 5 minutes I gave up as I had to get going.

Not a very helpful post... but just thought I'd share

They do occasionnally do this, it's nothing the assistant can do because it's a fault with the code number. If you had waited at CS then they could have taken off the £1 and added points instead but you would have had to pay the £1
