  • Question 2,
I was given £100 or so in vouchers which obviously equates to £400 in deals tokens. I'm trying to avoid getting in a mess. Tesco website seems to suggest any deals tokens have to be sent to the name on the vouchers. Is this correct?
Do deal tokens have a name printed on them and if so does this person have to travel?(I wish to use them on PO Ferries Portsmouth to Bilbao)

    Thanks again for your help!

    Hi and Welcome

Have you thought of airmiles? Tesco have special offer on for double airmiles if you exchange deals tokens for miles before the end of June!!! Have a look at the airmiles website to see if your dates have any offers.
£2.50 gets you 120 miles this month!!!;)

    Hope that helps

Good advice, I'll check that out!
Do I need to quote any special code to get double miles or is it just done automatically for everyone this month?

Apparently when you change them online it says 60 miles per £2.50 but when they reach Airmiles they double them. I spoke to several people last night from Tesco and Airmiles that verified this.

    Hi

Has anyone booked London hotels with Tesco clubcard points? Just wondered what rate you have been quoted per night...so I can tell if it is going to be a bargain or I should save my points for something else.

    Thanks

Why not ring up and ask how much it would be without clubcard being mentioned.

Each booking is individual for your dates and location , so there is no hard and fast rule. Some bookings will be a £10 difference, others £100 so it's up to you to judgeif it's worth it or not.

    Hi
I have the original Tesco Credit card (ie issued before the points were reduced), but I am confused how many Tesco points I get when I use it in and out of Tescos.
Will I be better or worse off with the points on the Finest Platinum card ?
    Thanks
  • Hi Kaja and all others:
Silly me I didn't see there was already a discussion on this deal and posted a comprehensive speel about how good it was (with Phone number for any difficulties) about it the other day!

I eat my words now. Should be fantastic but in reality the Airmiles fares themselves are a pile of pants.
I've just converted £70 of hard saved Tesco vouchers into 3360 airmiles (ie. £70 x 48 miles, or £140 x 24 miles). Logged onto Airmiles site and was dismayed to find that the best deal I could find cost me more in money than I've ever paid for same flights (plus airmiles on top) than the best current deals on Travel supermarket. From Edinburgh- Gatwick- Bordeaux (and I'm totally flexible on dates in July/ Aug) cost 3100 miles Plus £114 plus £85.90 taxes!!!! I have got flights there for the last 3 years from £150- £180 all in on internet!! I understand the earlier you book the better, but this does not match the screenscraper sites, which are currently quoting me £188 all in on other weekdays. Can anyone advise what I should do with these airmiles, is there a link to find the cheapest days to travel on the airmiles site? The BA calendar doesn't seem to work for Airmiles. How can I get this ridiculous price down? Am I missing something? Info gratefully received.

I got the offer of a Platinum card too. Looking at the info with it I thought the points were same as the first issued credit card.

    Can anyone clarify?

    Thanks. Maisie
