If you exchange clubcard deals vouchers for airmiles online, does anyone know how long it takes for them to appear in your airmiles account?

It says 28 days on the tesco site but was it quicker for anyone who's actually done it?

Also - I know I won't get change, but can I 'overspend' - that is, if the admission is £29, can I give them £30 worth of vouchers and loose the difference, or do I need to give them a lower amount and top up with cash?

I got mine in £5 vouchers

I think you can do either unless the offer states it must be paid in full with vouchers

Here is the Days Out PDF

    The first points

Deal Token(s) can be used as full or part payment, with any shortfall being paid in cash towards the cost of admission at any of the venues listed below.

No change can be given if the cost of entry is below the Deal Token(s) value.

Can anyone tell me if points which I thought I had on my card, but come through on husband's can be used to go on MY executive air miles account, or do I have to ask for the points to be transferred over to me?
Also,1000 points, are these worth £40.00 when redeeming for air miles and if so how does this work? As 1000 points will only give me 4 X £2.50 vouchers?I don't shop at Tesco's therefore am not an expert with vouchers and how to get the best deals etc. but I have been buying wine when high value codes offered to transfer to airmiles, although I haven't done this yet.

Yes, my daughters in uni in York and it is very difficult to get accomadation at the weekends without booking way in advance, even at the hostel unless you dont mind going in dorm rooms. One of the travel lodge places are about the cheapest and they seem to have special offers often, not tried this myself yet. Accomadation is very expensive in York. In fact the last few times we went up it was cheaper to stay in Leeds or Whitby and travel in , better quality and less money.
Also allow for money you will need for park and ride. There are several around the city but I think it is about £3 odd return for adults. All of mine are classed as adults now so the park and ride worked out very expensive so we get up now at the crack of dawn and drive into the city and park on the public car park at the end of Gillygate.
Loads of educational stuff to do in the city including free city walks, check the tourist info - be carefull not to go into overload though. We find when we go up we do a huge ammount of walking, easiest way of getting about but it must be very exhausting if you have children with you :)

Have you tried the Hilton or Ramada Jarvis in York?
No experience of Hiton/Tesco Deals, but we did stay in Edinburgh 2 years ago at Ramada Jarvis, managed to book mid week, at the end of summer holidays in August (Bank Holiday week), 2 rooms (daugheters were then 14 & 16), and had a great time-no problem with booking.
Something else you might consider, is the York Youth Hostel. My friend and her 3 children have just stayed in the Manchester Youth Hostel coutesy of Tesco, in an en-suite room for 4, although basic, it was clean and confortable. But that Youth Hotel is apparently a new build. Because she'd spend less on accomodation she was able to take the children to Bella Vista, and Cafe Rouge with the Deals, and went bowling one evening.
Or, why not look for cheap accomodation in York in a B&B, and spend the Deals on Days Out & food-just an idea.

If they can go on your account which im not sure, im sure someone else can answer that part, then 1000 points will get you £10 of vouchers which in turn will get you 2400 air miles if its an executive club account

Thanks Emms. The whole card business is a mess, it comes up with my email address my name and address for delivery but the points go on my husband's card.
For me this is a great way to get points. I fly quite a bit on business and a full fare return flight to Heathrow( costing an arm and a leg) only gets me 500 points. Here's hoping we can get this sorted although we do have a family BA account so worse case scenario I can probably transfer from my huband's Tesco's card.
  • Hi all,
A newbee so treat me gently :D
Got a few questions about vouchers
    1. Is it possible to use vouchers for flights only with Virgin/Virgin Atlantic?
    After flights to Florida!
Any alternatives that I can use the vouchers on (don't need any accomodation)?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi and Welcome

Have you thought of airmiles? Tesco have special offer on for double airmiles if you exchange deals tokens for miles before the end of June!!! Have a look at the airmiles website to see if your dates have any offers.
£2.50 gets you 120 miles this month!!!;)

    Hope that helps
