I have just used my Clubcard vouchers to book a Hilton hotel. I searched all the hotel chains that take Clubcard vouchers. I found the hotel I wanted and checked their website where there were rooms available for my dates. I tried to phoned but couldn't get through.
So I ordered £140 of clubcard deals (hotel was £70 a night)and they arrived in a couple of days. I phoned again to book only to find although there were no rooms for Clubcard deals although there were rooms still available. I ended up booking a different hotel that costed £60 more. I asked if I could order more clubcard deal vouchers to cover the difference but they need to arrive within 7 days of booking so this wasn't possible. I could have ordered the extra ones and tried booking again when there arrive but then the room may have been taken!
So - you can't make a booking until you get the clubcard deals and by the time you get the deal vouchers the room may have gone so you then need to book into another hotel and pay the difference or if it is cheaper you lose out because you don't get any change. I ordered £140 and got one £100 + one £40 voucher, they don't come in mutiples of £10 so there is leass flexibility.
Hope I haven't put you off. I am sure other people will have had better experiences in booking hotels. All in all we are staying for 2 nights B&B in Cobham (2 adults and 2 children) and it is costing £60 cash and £140 in deals. Also spending the day at Chessington World of Adventures thanks to Tesco deals.

I've stayed with Hilton a few times and never had any problems with not being able to get rooms or dates. Book reasonably far in advance (although they won't let you book too far!).if i exchange my tesco vouchers for alton towers tickets will it have my name on them?0 -
Does anyone know how old the phones can be for the 500 Green Clubcard points offer for recycling mobile phones? The service appears to be operated by Mobiles2cash which is part of Greener Solutions, but looking at their web site, older phones such as an Ericsson A1018s are not listed. Yet Tesco say nothing about age of phone. Any ideas, anyone?0

Sorry if this is wrong place or been asked before but:- If I had a '500 points if you buy a non-stick nightie' voucher, bought item, got the points and brought item back, do I keep the points? (I know technically it's very naughty, but in theory could you do it?) Even If I had to accept a credit note, I would still be £5 up (in vouchers) It can't be that simple, Tesco must have something in place to stop it. Any thoughts?

Two great till spits, both valid until 22nd April -
- 750 when spending £30 on Florence and Fred gear
- 100 when buying Gardener's World magazine which I would have bought anyway (I do during the spring/summer but not often enough to warrant a subscription)
... That's paid for our entrance into Cadbury World. Hope you all get 'em too.
