I havent seen peter advertise or try to promote his company. He has made it clear what side of the fence he sits on and that is quite right to do.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0

"Sorry mate, we dont deal with credit cards or mortgages just yet. Just loans. As long as there is £2500 of PPI on the loan we can assist.
Although the holding company has been registered with MOJ for two years it is a new Service. "

I answered a particular question. What do you want me to do? Make no comment?
Then I get accused of not being open or have something to hide.I am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.
However, I have since seen the light.0 -
Peter didnt promote anything, he answered my question directly - nothing more.
I work for MBNA (or Bank of America if you prefer) which I openly admit when needed to do so, many people on the forums know this about me - does that mean I am promoting their products?
The only people I have seen openly promoting (with a few exceptioons) are the CCCS members - and they have permission to do so.No Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.

LOL
Now I know why you asked I can answer more thoroughly. I have seen loans through MBNA that will be valid claims and we will be handling them but so far only a couple. I am sure you have far more CCs written than loans. We are unable to deal with credit cards via our service.
You in compliance or legal dept?
If so we must have a chat sometime.I am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.

Hi folks,
I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post but I have just been offered an opportunity to earn extra cash and its basically one of these companies you've been talking about (dont know the name yet have just heard about it from an acquaintance). They are helping people claim back money from unlawful contracts in relation to any kind of loan and esp re PPI, of which apparently there are a lot about! The standard fee to the client is £100 up front before they even look at your contract, then if they decide that you have a case you pay a further £150 to take it to court.
Do people here think this sounds dodgy? I'm really not sure about it myself.
Thanks0 -

So they charge the client £100 just to look at it and then a further £150?
So why would you look at this when there is a free scheme available?I am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.

Thanks for the reply...no £100 is the initial charge to the client, out of which I can take what I want (I was told £50), then £150 to the client if it goes to court (and I take another £50 out of that).
Apparently most other similar companies charge around £400 for the initial up front fee so this company seems to be a lot fairer but still if they dont win the case, or if they dont even think you have a case then the client has just lost £100-250 ! Which of course seems totally wrong.
I have been told that they have a very experienced litigation lawyer who has 40 yrs experience but still I think if there are no-win no-fee companies out there I guess people are much better off going to those arent they.
What do you think?0 -
I didnt know there were free schemes available until now. I've only just heard about these claims companies today.0
