    Hi all,

Keep meaning to have a look at the freebies board SH, do you just send away for stuff or something? I think I would like free stuff.

I have spent quite a bit, it's when I buy things then never use/wear them that gets to me, but this time I bought Jeggings and have them on right now so to me they at least were a good buy. They are fab, can't believe hadn't heard of them before, my skinny jeans no longer fit (remember those size 10's I got into a few months), yeah, don't fit! My jeggings just look like skinny jeans when worn with boots, and fit better (nothing to do with the elasticated waistband, obviously)!!

I have a dilemma, was supposed to go to Edinburgh tomorrow with my sister but she has cancelled, should I go alone?!? I don't really like shopping myself, especially somewhere a bit unfamiliar but there is a Meet tomorrow with some MSE'rs and it would be a good opportunity to meet up. My sister doesn't even know I'm on here, so suppose it's good she's cancelled. I'm a wimp, I want to go myself, but scared!

hi swinstie - I would meet up with other mse'rs. I even went to someone's house once and an mse person came to my sister's wedding (she is on mse too!)

On the freebies thing - there are links to freebie request forms and competitions - they even tell you the answer

Thanks SH, I'm seriously considering going to Edinburgh! OH was supposed to come (and knows about on here) but he's standby and sister got too much to do so it looks like l will be going alone. I'm just bricking it incase I can't find anyone, although a couple have said to PM mobile no. I rather fancy a wander around the German market, think it will be fun!

Will check out the freebies, thank god for them telling you the answer, I am a bit of a numpty!
  • Swinstie - look at it this way, if you don't go to the meet you'll regret it afterwards. If you do go, and don't like it, you can make your excuses and leave, and you will still have the opportunity to spend some time in Edinburgh which is a wonderful city! In fact, come to think of it, I insist, go on my behalf! :D

    Hi all,

Well, I did it :j Went to the meet in Edinburgh! It was actually quite nice sitting on the train by myself, well, me and a fair few other people, reading my book and watching the countryside go by. I met up with the other MSE'rs, found them no problem with the help of Flying Fresian's cow brolly. Spent a rather nice afternoon wandering round the German Christmas Market, eating steak on a roll and pretzels. Some of the others went on the Big Wheel, of which I am not fond so I wandered to a shop to buy OH an AC/DC mug he wanted - it was out of stock. Got him a Rolling Stones one (no difference) and an AC/DC keyring. Think I might keep the mug for myself and try getting his later - it's not for Christmas anyway.

Back to the pub and met some more people, had a nice chat with some of them then it was time to get the train. Got the 6.25pm one as the next one was either a change of trains, or had to wait til 8.25pm. Home, had the rest of my Chinese from last night and now sitting here pondering what to do with myself. OH was on standby and was called out (to Edinburgh would you believe).

Anywho, didn't spend too much today but finances have taken a bashing this past month and after paying all my bills, my total has unfortunately gone up . One thing I have done, is bring my credit limit down on the CC I use, to £2000 (it's currently at £1,300 :eek:), which means I need to get this down if I stand any chance of booking a holiday after Christmas.

I was asked at work yesterday if I wanted some overtime, yes please I said. Don't know when it will be or what I will be doing, but every little helps. Also will get my disturbance payment next pay so will pay a chunk of my CC with that too.

Sorry for the long post, but have been neglecting the reason for this diary a wee bit. Hope everyone is having a great weekend, I'm off for a cuppa then bed for me. Nite all xx
  • Well done for going Swinstie - the market sounds lovely , I really must try to get to Edinburgh at Christmas one year. We try to get up occasionally anyway as it's a city we both love - we got engaged up there actually! :D

Glad you had a lovely day!

Well done for going - it can be hard to do stuf my yourself but I always feel really proud of myself when I have

I think November has been a bad financial month for a lot of people - my total will definitely have gone up :o I'm hoping December will be better, most of my Christmas shopping was paid for in November and a couple of things I am going to so I am hoping for no futher increase in December - then onwards into 2010 :D
