Absolutely amazing list! It almost inspired me to make my own but am far too scared! My problem is people buy me that kind of stuff for Xmas and I can never be bothered to use it! Creams and potions and lotions! I never have time! Do people actually buy that sort of stuff from ebay? Maybe I'll gave that a go. It's good that you've now got a challenge to use it tho - at least then it wont be wasted. I did a similar itinerary with the contents of my freezer - that was really helpful too!
You should've tried to use as many as you could to pamper yourself for your anniversary dinner!
Also - if like me you have los of family who also buy loads of stuff from Boots and then don't use it, why not have a swapping night (can do it for clothes/handbags etc too) -get them to bring the stuff they don't really use and offer some of your stuff - stick a couple of pizzas in the oven and get some wine in and make a night of it? Ooooh I might do that! lol17/04/2009 (LBM) - TOTAL DEBT - £6756.8510/11/2009: Graduate Loan £3000 :mad:TescoCard £992.05  MintCard £576.24 :mad:NEW TOTAL DEBT - £4568.29Credit Card debt £1568.29Debt reduced by £2188.56 :T0 -
Hi Swinstie
Glad you enjoyed your anniversary meal. Me and OH have been together for a very scary 26  years! Still not got around to tying the knot but may do some day! I think I may have established he's "Mr Right" by now so won't be rushing into anything!
I use the small size toiletries to take on holiday to save weight and space in my suitcase. I like to stockpile them during the year. My little hoard is a godsend at the moment as I can't afford to buy a lot of stuff so it's actually decreasing. It'll be a sad day when it's all gone. Hopefully by then things will be back to normal again.
Have a good day!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Hi lifeback & Sun Addict,
Good thinking on the toiletry swapping thing and also the travel sized stuff, really need to use stuff up before buying more so thought could take stuff on holiday but trying to save space/weight is a nitemare if so will probably have to give in and buy some small stuff, decisions, decisions!
Well not achieved much since came home, think will have to log on here less as spending far too much time reading diaries, which I like of course, but you know what I mean. The Flylady thread will have it's work cut out with me, ha!
26 Years Sun Addict, OMG! Well I'm hoping we will still be together for as many years as that, although OH has been married before so doubt I will see a ring anytime soon, if ever. Not too bothered, as long as we are happy, who needs a big wedding and all the palaver that goes with it!0 -

Hi Karen,
It is very addictive logging on here!
Well I have managed tonight to:
Tidy & hoover the livingroom
Fold up clothes to put away (I do not iron unless I need to)
Made tuna mayo for sarnies tomorrow
Sorted gym stuff for tomorrow (I will go the the gym)!
OH is making spaghetti carbonara tomorrow night for me coming home, so should be a chilled out night.
Still need to put clean sheets on bed and sort clothes for tomorrow, so better say nite for now or will never get anything else done. x0 -
Don't buy any more toiletries - find a cheap pound shop and buy some small empty bottles or tubs instead and decant some of the productsAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Yo Swinstie! That is some list dude! (Well done for logging it all - AND posting it). Not only are you the sweetest smelling person in town - but you clearly are the best looking as well! If only I lived near you - I would be round to help you use it all up.Onward and upward - with the odd step to the side

Morning everyone (anyone?!)!
Will get some empty bottles SH, just trying to find decent sized ones is the problem. Have looked at the small travel sized ones and can get 3 for £2 in Asda, so might see what I can decant and what I can't decant (ha that rhymes). I read about a guy who said he tried to decant shaving gel and well ahem, he ended up with foam everywhere, ha!
Rupe, I would be the sweetest and bestest looking if I actually used the stuff. I finished an Olay Moisturiser this morning, I love getting rid of things. My small Palomo Picasso perfume seems never ending though, felt like pouring the rest out this morning, BUT that would be wasteful, it should be finished by tomorrow.
Got the gym tonight and have brought my stuff with me, sports bra and all. OH is coming down tonight and is making dinner, just hope he cleans up after too, as kitchen is super tidy at the mo.!
Planning on trying to update no more than twice a day, found I got more done last night when I wasn't logged on - at work just now and laptop in it's little bag so not tempted tonight!0 -
I so love your list. Reminds me of me during my mega hey day spending sprees.
As clothes didnt always fit very well, buying toiletries and make up gave me an instant rush. So I used to really spend on those. Not any more. In fact not for a long time. Unless its on offer in the supermarket, then we don't have it.
There are some toiletries that I really adore, but are strictly on my birthday or Xmas list for presents. Sad or what. Though I appreciate them even more this way.** Proud to be dealing with my debts **LBM - Jan 2009 _pale_ : £24,802.21 :eek:February 2010 :silenced: : £18,078.47 (not including OD)July 2010= £16,819.34 (not including OD)
