Gally I'm shocked at that admission:rotfl::p
When I used to read loads of diaries religiously everyday I used to read yours, Tallgirls, Stuarts and I think it may have been Smallsave and someone who had loads to pay who commented on my diary at the start but haven't seen hers for ages oh and Financialbliss.
I don't post as often as I used to as I'm not as motivated as I once was but also my pay has been down since I moved and started doing supply work. Mind you thanks to this website things aren't a struggle, grocery shopping and looking for bargains has become a habit.:)
My new fridge freezer arrived today. Really pleased at the delivery drivers managed to convince them that it would fit and to give it a go and they got it in no problem. Saturday's driver refused to even try and these nearly did too but my wonderful neighbour:Adid a mock up of the box to show that it would turn in my narrow hallway.
Great money saving news about it is that I had to go in and cancel the order due to the failed delivery and then re-order it. I ended up paying for delivery this time and the time before it had been free ( not sure how I achieved this first time) however between first order and delivery the cost had been reduced by £200! so it became £184 cheaper thanks to the original drivers not trying. Every cloud!:T:T:T0 -
Gallygirl, thanks for your advice on how to post a link managed to get it to work!0

I dare you to complain to the store that their 1st driver's incompetence caused you inconvenience and meant you had to pay a delivery charge.
I tend to just go to my subscribed threads so miss new diaries - need to go the main board more often.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

A fab saving!
Though I do agree with gallygirl that you should at least ask for your delivery charge to be refunded. If you don't ask you don't get!:money:
Ooooo... fridge freezer - very exciting! I recently did up my house and am overly-interested in house appliances! Is it american-style?M3 Dec2015 #160 Target £150,000 (BU £155000)0 -
:rotfl:The store!!!! No the CEO:rotfl:
It's American style and I have just typed an email, I will keep you updated.0 -
I bought an america style with ice maker/water dispenser, and I promise you won't regret a single penny!
In fact, I found out a new mind boggling fact that in most american fridge/freezers, you can change the setting so that it all become fridge! So if you are ever having a party and there's never enough space to store the booze, you can turn it all into the fridge.
The only thing about mine is that it's black, which whilst looks very sleek - needs a lot of wiping/polishing to remove the slightest markM3 Dec2015 #160 Target £150,000 (BU £155000)0 -
My other fridge has no shelves in it, so will shove it in the garage for booze storage. I've been wanting one of these since before this diary existed. If I left it much longer the kids would've moved out and then there would have been no point having one. It does feel like a huge luxury especially as I now have three freezers:o0

Three freezers! You live my dream life! :rotfl:
Yeah - they are very handy. Even though it's just the 2 of us - I couldn't imagine having it. Where would you put all your condiments etc.?
Yeah, a Thermomix is something I am hoping to get one day. Seems like it would be very time saving, but also allow you more variety in your cooking.
A new sofa - I would maybe hold off until January - that's when you get the sales. Birthday and Christmas pressie maybe!?M3 Dec2015 #160 Target £150,000 (BU £155000)0 -
There is a good sale on in our local store where I like to buy furniture from but I'm fairly happy with what I've got. I've had it about 8 years ( wow I was thinking 5) it was cheap from IKEA, just my Mum doesn't like it. I'd rather she'd offer to pay a month of the mortgage lol.0

Yeah, that's true. I'm getting married next year, and my gparents will want to get me a traditional present. TBH, I'm the same I would rather they would just give me the cash to put towards the MOP. Expecially as my OH and I have already got everything we need.
Though I am of course grateful they are thinking of getting me anything at all.
You can't help but notice family's opinion though about your furniture. My FMiL is coming round this afternoon and I know she will comment on something!M3 Dec2015 #160 Target £150,000 (BU £155000)0
