I have an appointment with the midwife at the end of the month. It is my first pregnancy and it will be my first appointment.
Are partners welcome? Is it worth him attending?
Thank you

You would probably find it helpful for him to attend your booking in appointment, this is when they ask all about family history and he's likely to know his better...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I assume they are allowed, mine partner is coming to my appointment.
He has loads of allergys and he will know them better than me

Good luck with your pregnancy!0

They are always allowed and welcomed - it's pretty basic at the first one though, mainly paperwork and taking your blood pressure so don't expect them to try and listen to the heartbeat etc (unless you are about 4 months gone)0

I didn't bother to take mine with me to booking in. It was just filling in paperwork and just too much bother to arrange a time we could both make!
I think the are welcome to attend if they want to though. Mine's much more excited about scans than boring old midwife apts! x x:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Partners are welcome at all appointments, but you will come to realise it just isnt worth them taking the time off work to wait a hour in waiting room for a 5 minute appt! can you tell i've done it a few times?! lol.
Im on my 4th pregnancy now and booking appointments have always been a home visit. This can't be the norm then and vary with each area learn something new every day.0 -

Both mine were home visits too. And I agree it's not really worth taking the time off.
JxAnd it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end0 -
Maybe he could come along to your first one then can use that to see if he wanted to go the rest of them, or just the scans maybe?
