Tiscali broadband connection problems

since last saturday i have had problems connecting to my broadband service. Is anyone else having tiscali problems, ive rung their customer help line but cant get to speak to any one but their status report tells me that they are having major connection problems and the service should be sorted by Wednesday 8th april.
As its the 8th today i still am having major problems connecting to the internet. its taken me over 2 hours to connect, sometimes i connect to a BT page which is telling me to exit my brouser as there is problems with my ISP.
Whats going on????
On the help line it says the problem is in the london area but im in north yorkshire and quite frankly ive had enough of not being able to connect for 5 days and counting.

I've just come back from my parents and they're having the same problem since Saturday. We live in Wigan and it seems that it's affecting people nationwide.0

Mine was off and on at the end of last week and the start of this week but it's okay now, kept dropping alllllll the time. I don't usually have that much trouble with them but if it's fixed with me in Wales, maybe it'll be fixed with you guys too soon?Debt which IS NOW GONE before 31.12.2011: CC - GONE!!! :j Loan: GONE!! :j

I am so fed up of it, mine has been down since saturday too although it seems to work ok for a couple of hours in a morning, very annoying.Hoping for a calmer year in 2012

not a new provider as such but we've decided to ditch tiscali for bt. from talking to friends and neighbours on our estate it seems to be somewhat more reliable - still a pity that the best speed on the exchange here is 0.5 Mbs. gutting to see people complaining that 4Mbs is the best they can get when their speed drops ;-)0
