good thread apart from all the bickeing;)

We had an idea for Tv which we are currently trying to get looked at.

I have an idea for a business but its hard getting funding. There is a website called in inbizvest which is like a dragons den for the internet. You get to describe your idea how much you need and see if anyone is interested. You can list for free or pay and get more benefits.

You might like to have a gander. Plus there are plenty of business forums you can join just google.

I'm in process of setting up new on-line business, everything is all ready and planned just need to save cash for stock. I have computing degree so partner and I will be doing all the technical stuff ourselves and I will be doing everything from the spare bedroom. I will not be borrowing any money from anyone at any point as I am not getting into debt - just will need a basic bank account for payments to be made too. My new venture is not my initial idea but its a simpler form where we don't need to save so much money for cash and can fit the stock in the house so will be a good starting block - I hope :D
I have my degree and did work for large organisations but my dad was an entrepreneur and is still a businessman so I grew up with all of this being the norm and no bosses to tell you what to do so think its best option for me :)

As for all the comments about spelling it is only necessary to have good grammar and spelling if the field of work/expertise you want to work in requires this. As for anyone else go with your plan make a few quid and then pay someone to do all the spelling and other things you are not so good at for you :) I am a good all round communicator so if any of you start doing well and need a grammatical spell checker type person I do freelance work ;):D.... any typos in here are because I am chatting and not working :)
  • good luck and let us know how you get on, maybe some people will get inspired to follow suit. myself i love the safety of a 9-5 job !

I lost my 9-5 job whilst recovering from back surgery, redundancy was supposed to be used for business venture (had different idea back then) but in reality it paid the rent and physio i needed for 9 months. partner's wage covers the basic bills for now so sooner I can start earning something the better. id now rather earn less and know I can work when I want to and if I end up broke and out of work it will be my own fault and not because someone somewhere decided to put me on a hit list and make me redundant.

it would depend who you pay and what sort of site you actually need. i do website design to earn a bit of money ... to also go towards my business ideas. if person wants to shop around people per hour allows you to set a price and then people bid to do the work for you so you then find someone who sounds ideal to you.

any way i was thinking of seting up website that sells handmade baby things, or maybe customised. i was thinking best place to start would be esty? see if people like it? then what idk there is a craft fair near by once a month i could try selling a few things there. do u think that this is a good idea?(i quite like that i can not spell for toffie makes things more 'intresting' to read lol) is there anything eles you would sujest?
this is an old post so how have you been getting on? I would go for the etsy option as means many more people will see your designs that way.
