I think you all should just lay off the lady.
She is trying to help others in a way by developing ideas an i think encouraging others.
So instead of petty remarks, we should all be encouraging each other, the world is bad enough and hard enough.
I think it is a good thing, so lets keep talking about it all! And sharing ideas and helping each other!!!!!!LOVE NIC X X X X

OK so it was meant to be an encouraging thread not a, lets all jump on the slating bandwagon thread. So i made a few mistakes, actually that can be a key to becoming succesful, and for the record, i was relativly succesful at school and simply have alot going on where spell checking was the last thing on my mind. For any professional work I did I wouold always make sure punctuation, professionalism, and presentation were taken seriously.
Im also by no means on the dole or the poverty line, my husband has a good job and i was a nurse untill i became a mother, now i put all my time into raising to beautiful chidren, not that i have to justify myself
Sorry, my post wasn't actually directed at you, it was directed at people that think that just having a good idea is enough to become a millionaire and implying that eductation is not important in the slightest. Far too many people these days leave school expecting to make their millions and are sorely disappointed. I really didn't mean to imply that YOU were on the poverty line or on the dole etc, I was trying to make the point that for every one person who leaves school with no education and becomes successful, thousands fail miserably. For all successful business people the vast majority of them had education behind them, it is very rare indeed for someone to land a successful job with no qualifications.0 -

Certainly.
I'll grow up right this second and inform the original poster that unless they learn to spell properly, it's highly unlikely that anyone would take them seriously. Richard Branson is mentioned as an example - but I would bet my last zloty that he made sure that his presentations/etc were perfect.and for the record, i was relativly succesful at school and simply have alot going on where spell checking was the last thing on my mind.
If you've got a lot going on, how can you expect to be an "entrepauner"? Everyone I know that has been successful in their own business has been bloody minded and obsessive about it. There's no two ways about it - certainly, if you don't have time to use spell check, then you probably don't have time to succeed. From Poland...with love.
They are (they're) sitting on the floor.
Their books are lying on the floor.
The books are sitting just there on the floor.0 -
That last post was uncalled for. You know nothing about the op so should not pass judgement.0

Nonsense! You are clearly of low intelligence yourself. Also, was recently at a conference, where it was said that around 50% of the UK's self-made millionnaires either came from broken homes or had dyslexia.
Anyway, to the point the original post was trying to have an exchange of information. Not have some 'holier than thou' idiots poke fun. Get a life.0 -

maybe so but, like i said before i dont have to justify myself to anyone, but, just for you, at christmas my little boy was having alot of tests to find out if he had cancer, my mum was having her own trouble that was serious, my house needed quite alot of work on it, I had just had my daughter, who is now only 6 months old, and basically had a whole heap of stuff going on, so considering all the things i have had happening, i think im aloud to make a few mistakes.
as i said before if you decided to read the post, i would be making sure any work i do would be set at a high standard.
I'm not some hairbrained freak that thinks shes found a quick fix, whatever i do i do 100% and try to ensure is nothing short of perfection. For your information i am already on my way to at least 2 succesful ventures. Any others may or may not work but the things I have put out there so far have been well recieved and will fill gaps in the market.
But, what would i know i couldn't possibly be succesful as i spelt entrepeneur wrong so imust be completly stupid. I do wonder do you know how to spell every word in the distionary or do you write everything in word to spell check before pasting it in here?
To answer your question on how i expect to achieve this? with shear hard work and determination, and, if I dont happen to make it then I've lost nothing, at least I tried, I.m not prepared to sit back and do nothing and presume this is all there is to life.back to comping in 2017, fingers crossed :beer:0 -
To the OP: Bravo to you for trying something new - not everyone can be an entrepreneur (and as others have already pointed out, whether you've got 'it' or not has nothing to do with spelling and far more to do with determination, bloody-mindedness, a good business sense and creative thinking) and if you think you have what it takes, then I wish you all the very best in it.
I am not an entrepreneur, though I have worked for one in the past, and I am not in a position to offer tips, advice or opinions, but I just wanted to wish you all the best and encourage you to keep at it.0 -
nice talking jp,good luck for the future and dont get sidetracked with nonsense as long as you are providing a good service, people will judge you on that and thats all that counts.0
