I am glad to others in my situation having the same problems (although it sad to hear so many complaints)
I recently took a huge paycut of 20% and could not afford to pay my debts
I contacted all my creditors and they put me in touch with Payplan.
Payplan have been amazing and helped me massively and set up new payment agreements which most have agreed to which i am very grateful for
But FINANCIAL PLUS
They phoned and demanded payment,
I explained to them months ago that payplan were helping me and they told me they would wait to hear from payplan.
I have had calls now even though they have banked payments from paypaln demanding money. I have asked to lower payments or lower them for just 6 months till i can review my situation in 6 months and try and increase payments.
They wont communicate with payplan and the rude lady that phoned me last time admitted that she ignores payplan and they dont deal with dm people (which i know they are not obliged to)
After much harrassment she then went to hang up and said well i have got your work number i will phone them and demand they make the payments directly to us for you. I paniced and paid them a token payment of £30 all i had in my bank so no food for 2 weeks.
I explained this to payplan and I have now found out that it is illegal to contact anyones employer directly and its against data protection and against the law and i was told to complain to the consumer credit/trading standards

Embarrassingly I told my boss at work who pays the wages about it and he said not to worry I tell them its illegal.
I am trying to find ways to pay off all my debt but financial plus even though my debt is very small hound me like it the biggest debt ever and they have even banked all the payments from payplan but deny accepting any ( It is also illegal for a company not to accpet a payment of any amount)
Has anyone had this type of experience with them?
I have told them my situation for months and evn paid money to them when i didtn have it to try and sort out another arrangement but they just harrass

We are meant to be getting our paycut back within the next year and I explained this to my creditors so I can pick my payments back up when I can.

I had the same problem when they had my bank detals take money willy nilly and i worked this out so if i made payment by card i had to cancel it and then I have offered to pay by cheque but they dont accept yet my dm payments are sent to them by cheque and they happily bank them0 -
I have been having problems with this company .I lost my job and missed a couple of payments .Got a new job agreed £100 a month which they insisted first payment came from my card which it did .Next payment due should have been a month later but in the middle of month they took £100 ,£15 and another £15 following day clearing me out !I also recieved a court summons which i intend going to as I recieved over 20 phone calls to my work ,they spoke to all my colleagues telling them I owed money spoke to my boss this was extremely embarressing .I have offered to pay £100 a month they won't let me pay by direct debit and I cancelled my cards so I am going to ask the court to tell me how to pay them without giving them access to my account !0

After them harrasing me for months taking £270 unauthorised out my account and even though i am with CAB i agreed 2 pay them £50 a month as i now feel i can afford this. (havent missed a payment as they were totally harrasing me, telling to get it off family members or they would phone my boss. I got the loan out last October and should be finished it next month. Every time i phone up to check my outstanding balance they tell me its around £400 this is everytime even though iam paying every month, i tell them this cant be right and they become very rude, i asked them 2 send statememnts out of eveything i have paid, i have recieved nothing.
They have called me offering top up loan of £700 if i pay my outsanding balance with my next wage (definatly not falling for that one) They are so dodgy.
They also told me 2day they are doing half price if you resettle it 2day so id only have to pay £200 today - again Dodgy.
This company are a complete JOKE - CON.0 -
Me and the missus have had a loan from FP and have kept up with regular payments,i have recently lost my job so payments to all our creditors had to be reduced,all were brilliant apart from FP,they have bombarded the missus at work with threatning phone calls causing her great upset,FP just will not listen to our side of the argument and we feel bullied beyond all frustration.FP will not phone me and talk,instead they prefer to reduce the missus to tears.We have complained to the financial obudsman who has generated a complaint and we have also involved the office of fair trading,looking at this forum i can see were not the only ones affected by the bullying tactics of FP,has anyone had any positive results from their complaints and what police action was taken.0

i have just been stung be these sharks. had a loan, was paying it no probs then got the magical call saying i could have more. i had to pay off £1100 of existing loan first and new amount would be transferred same day. i did this spent all my salary only to be told i was no longer eligable. i now have no money to pay bills and have bounced all direct debits - am totally screwed! am going to contact financial ombudsman. they wouldnt even lend me back my existing loan. complete cowboys - avoid. i would rather sell a leg for money.0

I Have had nothing but trouble from this company financial plus severe harassment,intimidation and threats.i recorded them all and contacted the police,they only stopped when the police warned them 4 times not to contact me or they would be charged with threats and intimidation,harrasment.I suggest if anyone is having the same sort of problem to go direct to the police.I dont know how they are allowed to still operate.STEER WELL CLEAR OF GETTING A LOAN FROM FINANCIAL PLUS THEY ARE LOAN SHARKS IF YOU GET HARRASSED GO TO THE POLICE ASAP they claim to have a consumer credit license no 622232 i have checked this and no license exits.

I`ve been on this site now for over 5 years, however I don`t post too often due to my very busy lifestyle. However I had to reply to this one as I do feel very strongly about organisations that I believe try to exploit consumers and use whatever hoops ( most are bordering on the unlawful) they can jump through to get the result they are after!!
I myself spend a lot of my own time making sure I never get a raw deal on anything and it is important for people on these forums to understand that every consumer has the right to protect themselves and ensure they do not become a victim!!
Most people can be `caught out` due to there own circumstances which can make the end result not what they were seeking in the first place. This isn`t because the person isn`t bright enough to see what is happening in front of their own eyes- it`s just organisations who ` see the moment`- i.e peoples circumstances- and then use their own devious tactics to ` make that catch`.
As said, they see the circumstance- then they throw you what you believe to be ` a lifeline`- however at the end of it - it just turns out to be a damp squid!! You thought ` yes,there is now hope`- and when they know this is what you are thinking- they have got you- but if you put in the proper research- you should generally not be caught out.
I know of course it is not always as straight forward as this as people haven`t got the aforementioned time, however when organisations `promise`- or `offer` something- ask them to turn that `promise`into something more substantial- a lot more than just something they tell you over the telephone!!
The amount of companies operating by telephone which `promised`- consumers loans, which `promised`- great Debt Management, which `promised-`cancelling credit cards and getting the debt wiped for you, which `promised`- reclaiming bank charges-- etc,, the list just goes on and on.. do we see a trend here, well I do!!
I`ve just obtained the details for F.Plus from the official OFT Register.
You can see the details of the current individuals that run the Company. It might be worth digging a bit deeper and sending the details regarding the experience you have had to Watchdog- and also the OFT in regards to the way they are operating their business- as I believe it contravenes the licence rules set out by the OFT. Here is the OFT statement:
"The OFT has a duty to protect the interests of consumers by ensuring the fitness of those holding or applying for consumer credit licences"
Also the OFT have just last month updated their "Irresponsible Lending" guidance leaflet. Read about it here:-

The reason for this is as they state " The guidance sets out the standards the OFT expects from businesses engaged in lending if they are to be considered fit to hold a licence. It covers the entire lending process from the initial lending decision up to the handling of arrears and defaults."
Get plenty of evidence- try and record calls made from them- send all to OFT/Watchdog/ Consumer Focus
Based on what I have read here, it appears F.Plus are trying to reign in there debts by contacting existing customers who have paid their loans on time. I think the tactic they seem to be using however- which is offering you another loan- well that again definitely needs further clarification.
What consumers should be doing here is saying to the company- well yes I would like a new loan- however can you please send me the loan offer ( ask for a regulated credit agreement) through the post with your companies signatures on- which would obviously be binding in line with The Consumer Credit Act. Obviously the amount owed from the existing loan would have to be incorporated into the new agreement as any reputable financial organisation would do.
If they do not offer this but state to you that " the amount owed from the existing loan needs to be taken out of your Bank Account"- well, just plainly refuse- as this is no way to be conducting good business!!!!!!
For the record, it appears their website is no longer functioning- and also there has been reported cases from consumers who are stating that the data sent to C.R.A`s regarding the repayment of their account has stopped quite a few months ago. When asking the C.R.A`s why this is - the response is that F.Plus just plainly stopped sending updates as required, so they were removed from the agencies Credit Account Information System. When F.Plus were asked why this was, it appears they were told someone would look into this and get back to them- however no-one has??
I think reading between the lines here, they do appear to be having a `cost-cutting` exercise!!

POSTED FOR ANYONE TRACKING PROBLEMS WITH THE BULLIES AT FP,the missus has been bombarded with phone calls at her place of work from FP,a total of 17 times on monday and yesterday gave up counting there were that many calls,FP were using different names,accents and even pretended to be a child.FP asked my missus to give her debit card details so they could take a payment,the missus refused as it been seen on other entries that FP have and would abuse the card details taking out monies without permission.FP have point blank refused to send us any documents showing how much we have paid and what the CORRECT balance is as FP have quoted several figures plucked from nowhere,an independant accountant has calculated that we have paid the loan amount off as well as a great chunk of interest,we have today been to the local CAB office and drawn up a debt management plan,and they will wrting to FP to remind them of the law relating to harrassment which FP have clearly been carrying out.
We have also been advised to report the matter to the police as the harrassment has been on more than two occassions,there have een breaches of the data protection act and breaches of the contract with regards to contacting people at work.the manager where the missus works has sent FP an email and a letter instructing them that calls of a personal nature will no longer be allowed.
Please if anyone is having the same problems ie getting actual documentation then post an entry,FP need to be dealt with and in the manner they are acustomed to (rude and unwilling to listen).0 -
