unless it is 98/me (unlikely, but you never know), in which case she can use winipcfgEver get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0

I had this problem once and it was because I had it configured as using encryption using a passphrase when I should have done it using WEP.0

all the advice is great BUT at least 4 or 5 netgear routers have built in Trend Micro AV firewall and AV software... which COULD conflict with any firewall on te machine and thus block the internet accessDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

lally,
you need to identify:
is this a problem with wireless
or a problem with your router not connecting with your isp
or some other windows config issue (ie settings dhcp etc)
I suggest connecting it with an ethernet cable first, connect the phone lead back into the router, and then do a
start run cmd
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
and carry out the tests mentioned in my first post.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0
