Had my Garmin i3 for a couple of weeks. Got it from halfords on a price match with somerfield/kwicksave for £99.99 ! These little things are great and not to small as i have read. They work great and i have never had a 'screen freeze' yet! For the money they have to be the best value 'out of the box' sat-nav unit on the market. My advise; get down to halfords with a price match and BUY ONE as they will not disappoint.

Maplins (the electrical shop - not the camp in Hi-De-Hi !) has the Garmin i2 on sale for £99.99. If you register, you get a money off voucher of £7 bringing the price down to £92.99.

Ive checked with Garmin and apparently (!) the only difference between this and the Garmin i3 is that it is in monochrome and not wonderful technicolour.

I would personally prefer to pay this than up to an extra £87 (Argos) just for the colour screen.

It was a while ago now! When the manager from halfords rang the local somerfield the lady didn't have a clue what he was talking about! He said that he did recall the offer in the local rag so did the price match anyway http://img.moneysavingexpert.com/smilies/sport-smiley-001.gif
:j Must have got him on a good day! Still if you can get close to the £100 mark buy one 'cos they are great. A mate of mine spent over three times what i did for a TomTom 700 and he says it lets him down about every other day with either a screen freeze' or the dreaded "when possible, make a u-turn" When i told him how much i paid i did allot of this....http://img.moneysavingexpert.com/smilies/laughing-smiley-014.gif
:rotfl: and did allot of this........http://img.moneysavingexpert.com/smilies/angry-smiley-030.gif
