  • I just took the Halfords £129 + £10 voucher for purchases over £50, and the Staples manager agreed to sell it to me for £119. Worth a try. Hope you get it.

I understand that the Garmin has some of Europe installed. I'm looking to drive though to south West France this year - are there maps installed to cover this?

Main roads still pretty good though you can do a printout from multimap for the last bit.

The street level mapping coverage in the west of France shows everything to the north and west of Nantes roughly(it actually goes a little bit futher south and east!).

Just thought id let those who are still pondering the idea that they are due too go up in price! My local Staples has increased the price to £169.99 and Halfords told me they are following suit pretty soon!

Got one today and think its a bargain at the price, should have bought one from Kwiks @ £99 but £129 is still great!!

One last thing, can someone link the Garmin thread here, I cant find it :/

    Cheers all.....

Sorry mods, posted in the wrong section. See this is what happends when yr in a flap :)

If you click on the mapsource map viewer on the right on..

    http://www.garmin.com/cartography/mapSource/MGEuro.jsp

It gives you a demo of what the roads are like. HTH.
