  • I too have received the letter stating that the perfume is no longer available and that they have given me an extra 2 months worth of magazines.

I have mailed them to complain and request that my credit card be refunded and my subscription cancelled.

I have just noticed that the originalsubscription was for 10 months. Does that sound like a strange length for it to be ? Why 10 months and not 12??

Could it be a marketing ploy to offer the gifts, of which there are a limited quantity (we don't know how many there actually are to give out - could be they had 20 ?? ) , get the orders rolling in, then send out the standard letter saying "sorry ......" but we'll give you an extra 2 months mags !!!

Sounds to me like this was the plan all along, otherwise why not just offer 12 month subs to start with ???

Well, if they knew that they had run out before our orders were received, why has it taken so long to let us know? They should have some sort of system where the first x amount of entries to register get the gift and after they have exhausted supplies, any further enquiries should automatically be told on application they will receive nothing, before the money is taken - thus giving us the chance to say 'no way - we don't want the offer then!'

Agreed and my line of attack really :) It's not even like it's hard to write that kind of thing into a sales site... You merely set up stock levels and once it reaches 0 it can be written to automatically be removed from the page... Lazy so and so's :)

    Thanks for the link.

Have tried to access this offer via quidco so I could earn £4.80 as well (being greedy now, I know :) ), but can't get the 3 for £1 offer that way.
Does anyone know a way round this?

    Thanks.
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)

  • I too ordered the mag on March 1st and paid £9.90 by debit card, got an email to say thanks for subs 1st issue will be sent on or around 13th April.E-mailed them on 10th March to ask where my 'gift' was ,to be told it was enroute and to wait up to 28 working days for delivery!! I have today received a letter saying the gift is no longer available.I thought it was enroute!!and due to an enormous response, the limited stocks were exhausted before we received your order. They have offered to extend my subs for two extra issues as a gesture of goodwill.I have emailed them to ask for my £9.90 back.
