    so if you have a tv licence at home can you use this on your laptop when on the train or something?

    Doubt if you'll get a stable connection on the train-it'll break the stream every time you get a tunnel or a cutting!
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

    It's a virtually live stream so the answer to that is no but BBC and ITV and maybe others already let you watch past programs. Look up the BBC iPlayer and ITVPlayer on the respective websites.

    Thank you. I do use iPlayer extensively and 4OD. However the ITV player I find completely useless so was hoping using this would solve the problem. Oh well!
