Hi there, Lovefilm accepted the code from Dalek but keeps saying there is a problem validating my card???Do they check for funds?Just wondered as I don't get paid til monday lol!

They didn't take any from me but, I understand you have to have a credit balance, even if it's 1p

Other than contacting LoveFilm direct, If I'm doing multiple signups I sometimes use my parents address on the road

Watch out folks !!!
I used the code last week, and as I have already had a free trial from them in the past, I altered my postcode by one letter and got accepted.
They have been sending me dvd's for one week now, but I just checked my emails and it looks like they have cottoned on !!
Will have to cancel before the 6th October or get charged.

As you should already be aware, under the Terms and Conditions of our service, we are only able to offer 1 free trial per household. This means that you do not qualify for any additional free trial with LOVEFiLM.
We are happy to offer you continued service on a paid basis. If this is not your preference and you wish to close the account, please let us know within the next 3 working days and ensuring you return the outstanding discs as soon as possible. Should we not hear from you, we will presume you wish to continue on a paid basis and amend your account accordingly.

Just a friendly warning to you all. It might be a new system that they have got in place, or it might just be that I have been unlucky enough to get caught out.
I used an email address that I hardly ever check...so didn't notice that this email was sent 3 days ago. Wasn't aware that anything was amiss...as they are still sending out the dvd's.

Yeah i got that too damn lol, but what can we do man?

Phone them up & ask them to delete your 'details' from their system...say you're sick of their spam mailings and want to opt out or something. That might work?

Or if you've been using two/three addresses like me (for the past 7-8 month) let one of your cancelled accounts stay that way. You'll soon get the LoveFilm plastic discount card through the door giving you 3 months for the price 2. That card & code might be locked to your name though, not sure haven't used mine yet.

This is the last code I used for a 60 day free trial.

Other ideas.
I've used my credit card at Mum's address. Then my credit card at my address. Mum's credit card at her address. Try to alter your sign up process a bit too, for instance your credit card might be Fred O Ray, input it as Fred Olen Ray, F O Ray etc.. I think when you've exhausted all tips, you should do the phone thing, surely they can't keep your details on file if you tell them not to?
