Wedding magazines: yay or nay?

            i bought 2 magazines, 1 autumn/winter and 1 spring/summer.
i cant remember which ones i bought though as i now have a box full of them. if you go to any of the big wedding fairs they give them away for free, certainly the ones in scotland anyways which i found quite useful. most of the wedding magazines are focussed on England, which is fine, but when you're in Scotland and theres a couple of token pages shoved in the back it wasnt really what I was looking for and Tesco dont stock the more local versions. So these freebies proved very useful for me
but mostly just used for ideas anyway. so not a necessity but if you are planning on going to a big show you could end up with quite a few

Agree they are useful for ideas but aren't worth buying - try freecycle. I have been given 35 of them by someone at work who had also inherited them! Wedding ideas as above is the easiest to stomach - be warned they do make you want things that you don't really need/ hadn't even heard of before reading the mag! You will have to have strong willpower not to be drawn in!
I intend to freecycle mine once I've flicked through them so I'm not tempted to completely blow our budget.
That said, although I am 99% sure I will have a non-white, non-traditional dress, I had seen some ivory ones in the mags that I liked, even though I had never liked a proper wedding dress in the past. Unfortunately the one I liked best was £12,400...0
