Thanks for your input. I downloaded the free magazines, major thanks for sharing those links. I read them and they really are just a succession of adverts with the odd really obvious article about not rowing or problems with bridesmaids. I didn't get any ideas from them. Really glad I didn't fork out nearly a tenner on them!!0

I bought loads. I was going to ebay them but they don't seem to go for much. I offered them to some friends who are due to get married but they don't seem too interested. I got married in December and had my reception end Feb so they're quite recent. They're heavy so I don't want to post them, but I live between Swindon and Cirencester so if anyone wants them and wants to collect them, let me know.0

Waste of money I reckon. You can get everything on the net and if you really want a magazine to look through, most bridal shops I have been in have free copies of local suppliers etc.0

I like Perfect Wedding, at £2.99 its the one of the cheapest and has actual realistic ideas! There is a specific Weddings in Cornwall one also which is full of useful info on local suppliers, dress shops, venues etc - maybe there is one local to you??Paddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840

Just to let you know the new copy of Wedding Ideas is out (£2.99) and they are giving away a wedding music CD worth £6.99 with it:D (I received notification from them via Facebook)0

I was in the local charity shop today in Hebden Bridge and they had five copies of wedding ideas for 20p each - bought them all. Not too bad for just over a quid - would never ever have bought them full price, but I suppose ideas are ideas!0

Id say very smart! As Ive begun advertising in bridal magazines I try to research them as much as possible. The average for each magazine is between 10,000 - 50,000 at any one time which I was surprised by!
The one thing I'll tell you ladies, if you get the chance, go to as many bridal shows as you can, usually its bridal magazines that will host them and they give you a free copy of their latest magazine on entry!! Plus you then have the chance to meet the people in the adverts at any stalls you want! Its literally like walking inside your magazine!
Plus hairdressers and places like that tend to buy magazines for their clients! A plus with magazines though is that you find (well my company does anyway) companies will offer a discount or free gift when you bring along their advert from the magazine - so in some occassions you could actually save yourself some money!Life is what you make it.0
