Need to buy a new printer cartridge, any suggestions where from and anywhere with cashback? Could just go to Staples but don't want to throw money away if I can get it cheaper elsewhere.

See post no 29.....what one are you looking for? :rotfl:

Hello my fellow small DF Daily girls! and to any boys who might be amongst you!

    Today I have:
    • Checked my banking (I checked the balance at least)
    • Made another payment to a debt I owe, so feeling good
    • Received an email telling me I had sold a book on GM! YAY ME!
    • Got the washing in off the line - need to do an underwear load but that has to go in the dryer, nobody likes crunchy pants and socks do they?
    • Scoffed some of my homemade biccies. Mmmmmm
    • May do some more baking later, anyone got the recipe for the famous Twinks Hobnobs?
    • Had brunch at home
    • Will shower today and not bath, to save water
    • Ridden my horse, well someone else did - might get a sharer plus they will pay me a contribution so I can throw more £ at my debt
    • Walked the dog and will walk again later on today
    • Some money has cleared through on my daily clicks but since I've been out of work I have not really been doing them. Must get disciplined again.
On the not so good side, I had to buy some horsey stuff but it was a must have and I had budgeted for it, so assume that means its ok!

Need to buy a new printer cartridge, any suggestions where from and anywhere with cashback? Could just go to Staples but don't want to throw money away if I can get it cheaper elsewhere.

The sun has got his hat on hip hip hooray...... happy Tuesday all.

PS - Had an interview yesterday, seemed to go well and think I'll be invited back for the next session. Hello to my fellow redundancy DFW's on here. I feel your pain!

    Twinks Hobnobs

    8oz sugar
    8oz porridge oats
    8oz margarine

mix flour, oats and sugar, melt marg, syrup and water in a pan stir in bic soda and add to dry mix, mix well, make smallish balls and put on greased tray and flatten slightly with a fork, 180oc for 15 mins, cool on the tray, you just want them golden in oven not brown

    Afternoon all!

Good day - done most of my list - and done about 30 comps instead of the 10 I was aiming for, and did some freebies too so happy with that! :rotfl:

Good little shop in Tescos too - got Stella on 2 for £15, hot cross buns 30p, satsumas £1.49 a pack but 3 for £3, reduced organic apples down from £2.99 to 70p then used the 30p off organic produce moc to get them for 40p, reduced bag of carrots from 75p to 26p, bread on offer for £1, fairy 2 for £2 (with the £2 moc on each bottle so free wup liquid and £2 profit) and milk, spread, cream & coleslaw. Also got Madagasgar 2 for DDs for Easter, which was £9.97. Total before bogofs etc: £47.22, after bogofs etc: £40.05, paid £30 after using MOCs! Happy Mogchops!! :rotfl::T:T:j

Just about to do tea - I'm having leftover casserole & DDs having something from freezer. DH on lates again till midnight - he's got sandwiches.

Have a good evening everyone! xxx

    Hello Everyone

Not been on for a few days as I got VERY miserable about money again :(

Have asked dodgy lodger to move out and he will be gone by end of the week, trouble is he owes us £1280  and has now lost his job so has no way of paying it back. I feel very stressed as now I dont know what to do. I dont want to risk another dodgy lodger but if I sell the flat it probably wont make the money that I paid for it.

Anyhoo I am back and MUST MUST MUST try to stay positive.

    So today I have/ will:
    • Daily scratchees
    • Bake some cakes
    • Blow out the egg shells to make a egg garland for Easter decoration :easter_os
    • Mr Ms to get food for Easter sunday roast for Pips Godparents
    • Tiptoe round as OH worked until 5.30 am as we need the money
    • Have turned heating off completely now, wonder if OH will notice ?
    • Make a new budget to accont for no income from flat
    • Cancel BT for in the flat
    • Friends round with their babies rather than drive to one of their houses
    • Store cupboard tea
    • Any surveys that come havent had any for a few days?
Hugs for any newly redundant or poorlies x x x
Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700
    :TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T

2020 the year of less - Less debt, less waste, less spending, less stuff, less stress!

Hi everyone - Angelflower, if you have no joy selling them, maybe you could send them to Tesco for recycling? You get £4 in deals for each one, max 30 per household per year. Maybe someone cleverer than me would know how to drain them?

    1) Accidentally had a NSD!
    2) Popped into work and did the necessary, but am working mostly from home this week as my childminder is on holiday.
    3) Took T down to the beach with some friends and had a lovely free afternoon out.
    4) Attepted to book a hotel room for £1 for our London trip in the Hoxton sale, but missed out sadly. Oh well.
    5) Online survey
    6) Scratch x 10p and 5 Piggypoints
    7) Storecupboard meals

Sorry you are feeling so rubbish about things Pipsmum. Was in a very similar situation to yourself (re lodger) when T was newborn and it really did mar what should have been a very happy time. I really hope things get sorted for you, but please don't keep away from here when you're down -everyone wants to support you.

    Afternoon all

Well today I have written letters to Capital One, Nationwide x2 credit card and bank account, HSBC bank and Yes Car credit trying to claim back charges and ppi etc, I haven't sent them yet because they will each cost £10 and I want to wait until payday so I have dated them for the 20th which is my payday, I have that day off so I will go to the post office and get postal orders for each one and then send them! I have also done my letter to defer my student loan.

Haven't spent any money today although I really want some chocolate! had to make do with a handful of brazil nuts!

Have gone through my food cupboard and figured I have about a months worth of food in there so only need to buy fresh things for the next few weeks, determind to use all the stuff in my cupboard and NOT shop for new food!

    :D
  • I have not added my DFW status to any of the master threads but heres what I did today (off work on hols).

Got up at 5.30am to put washing machine on while on cheap electric, put another load on at 7.15am while cheap rate too
    Hung washing out to dry.
Cupboard lunch (soup thats been there forever plus toast which was a 15p reduced loaf I had put in the freezer)
Washed the car (buckets and sponge !)

And, unrelated but I have had a paperwork clearout today and I'm off to Tesco to buy a ring binder or two and some poly pockets (value brand of course) from my spare change bowl (every day anything smaller than 50p goes in it, makes a good wee fund)

Good luck to those who are jobhunting. I am under notice of redundancy myself (again  the joys of short term contracts, especially those where you need to give 3 months notice, which does not help in looking for other positions). Rotten luck Candy to have been passed over for a job you have been doing in favour of someone who the employers don't know but who 'interviews well'. I have had that happen to me before - it is odd isn't it how this amazing interviewee is always male

It can backfire on employers though - in my case, I continued to work for the organisation concerned for a while (they didn't want me to go, just didn't want to give me a permanent contract). The guy they took on was actually not very experienced, not that good at the job and I decided to find something else to avoid having to do half his work for him as well as my own. He then left a short while after I did. I tried hard not to gloat, but I am afraid I failed dismally

In a way, cant wait to leave - the job is too much!!!. 2 days and counting!
Debts at the start of my journey - about £23,000 lightbulb moment 01.03.2007 (1st payment to CCCS)..Debt Free Date 25.06.2013 Deposit savings £17,000/£30,000

Pipsmum, sending lots of big hugs your way, keep your chin up although it must be very hard to do in your worrying situation. What a pity the lodger has treated you this way, its bang out of order.xx xx
