    morning all. quite nice outside but cold and windy

    had a bit of a panic last night when I got home as there was a letter saying they were coming to cut off my leccy!! Turns out payment for £26 has gone missing which I thought I had paid. Have had to do some rejigging about with money and will call them tonight to pay. Damn.

    - check online banking - as above - had to rejig and looks v poorly, feeling I may incur a bank charge :(
    - check cc online - looks as normal. Am going to cut card up now as is no point in having
    - scratch and click like my life depends on it 10p, 10p, 4p, 1p
    - check pigsback - nothing for me
    - enter some comps
    - check out freebies - nothing to sign up for
    - give feedback on free movie I went to see last night - was funny
    - work hard at office
    - dd is going away for a couple of days so survive on basics from cupboards
    - have a nsd
    - work on TMA which is due in
    - eat biscuits at work as fed up
    - rework budget for this month and send out to creditors
    - add up all receipts so far this month (have let this get away from me) - see sig
    - check if buddy can come with me to next free screening - yeah, she can!!
    - take doggie for walk - just did a wee one
    - tidy up house - its a pigsty
    - water seedlings and plant out sweetcorn & courgettes - did pumpkins instead as courgettes not quite ready. v windy outside, hope they are ok
    - fix fence which has blown down (AGAIN!) - tied it up
    - start writing a grocery list for when I ever have money in my pocket again :(

    Sorry, feeling bit money crap today. Thank goodness for MSE to cheer me up! It has cheered me up. Something about actually sorting money stuff out makes me feel better. Meant to be at a friends tonight but going to stay in tonight and do some letters and stuff. Also, paid electric bill so hopefully they wont cut me off on Thur now. Couldnt speak to a real person to confirm, was all automated.

    Actually, can I ask a stupid question? I have an ISA, was my first time this year, do I need to get a new one? Will this one just roll on? Ive had nothing from the bank about it so far, should I? What if I decide I dont want the bank one, can I just open another, or do I need to transfer? Is there an idiots guide? LOL I had a look on here but couldnt find a good guide...

    cleosmum, you don't have to get a new one, you can continue paying into the same ISA, however interest rates often drop hence why people tend to shop around from year to year. If you want to keep paying into the same one then thats fine, alternatively look on Martins savings guide to find the best paying one. However you can only pay into one ISA per year, so if you set up a new one, you can only pay into that one and not your old one.

    EDIT: I opened up a Barclays isa, have previous years isa's with them but will be transfering them out to a better interst rate isa, which so far looks to be marks and spencer's.

    Good morning all!!

    Candy - sorry to hear about the job. Good luck with job hunting.
    DawnW - same with you. Hope you have some luck in finding something else.
    Mogchops - know what you mean about ebay. Car boots are much easier! Going to do one myself in a few weeks.

    Not going to be a very good DFW week this week. Need new glasses. The coating is coming off of mine and I'm allergic to the metal a lot of glasses are made of. So I have a nice allergic reaction on my nose at the moment. I look most attractive, I must say. My lovely Dad is lending me the money so I can get some straight away. Also gave me enough to get contacts too. Will pay him back over next few months. All very annoying though!

    So have to be a good small DFW in other respects! SO todays list is:

    * Check on line banking
    * Storecupboard dinner
    * Charge mobile at work
    * Do any surveys that come through
    * Transfer lightspeed points into paypal - add to fund to give back to Dad
    * Washing drying on line as sun is holding out nicely
    * Sort some more stuff into boxes for car boot in few weeks time
    * Research glasses and contact lens prices

    Have good afternoons all,

    Miss P
    xx
