  • i am thinking of going with sp for duel fuel when i get my place soon

    two issues though

    1. my dad has same first name and surname and is an existing sp dual fuel customer, will use of middle name and different address be good enough for them to show different people

    2. does the discount apply to quarterly billed customers? i have no idea what bills will be as i have no energy company history
things arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back then ;)
BH is my best mate too, its ok :)

I trust BH even if he's from Manchester.. ;)

all your base are belong to us

I applied this morning and got tracked in Quidco. But the amount was £62 only instead of £100.
    Anyone got this problem?

Open a quidco ticket, and report it to them.

I'm looking into this offer just now and I've got a question about the tariff choice.

Quidco says, '...By switching to ScottishPower's Online Energy Service...' Does this mean any tariff with the words 'online energy' qualify? Or does it need to be more specific?

Going through the switching process, SP provide me with several alternative tariffs:

ScottishPower Online Discounted Energy Online July 2010*
ScottishPower Online PriceSure Energy Online Dual Fuel No Standing Charge*
ScottishPower Online PriceSure Energy Online Dual Fuel
ScottishPower Online Online Energy Dual Fuel No Standing Charge
ScottishPower Online Online Energy Dual Fuel
ScottishPower Online Capped Price Energy July 2010 Online Dual Fuel*
ScottishPower Online Capped Price Energy July 2010 Online Dual Fuel No Standing Charge*

Can it be any of them, or does it have to be the one I highlighted in bold?

The ones marked with * appear to have cancellation/exit fees. So they're probably not a good choice as I want to be able to switch to SP, get the cashback, then switch again, to a cheaper tariff.

That quote regarding "online energy service" seems like an ad, rather than a condition.

If you want to avoid any problem, you could use another cashback company (eg topcashback makes no mention of it).

Note that they say offer ends 26/4/09.

    Thanks.

I'd be interested to know which tariff others are choosing, especially with reference to exit fees.

That's the one I'm thinking of.

I'm currently with EON and they appear to be cheaper. So my plan is to switch to SP, get the £100, re-assess the market then possibly switch back to EON. :money:

Edit: The application has been submitted. :)

    Edit 2: Now tracking @ £62

shame they force you to have Direct Debit crap, otherwise i may have gone for it.

does any one know if its possible to get cashback Without Direct Debit , guess i could sign up let it take the first one then cancel , would that work ?

anyway does anyone know what they are signing up for ? i.e the price they are going to be charged for their fuel ...............maybe they will make their cash back with a price hike, no one seems to have mentioned this yet .........:money:
