Just got Eon cashback, not due to move to them until July 7th. I'll be putting in another move the day I move over to them. I'm thinking of going back to Scottish Power, I'm actually still with them now :rotfl:

Looks like it's about every 2 months for a cashback move.

I got Eon and Scottish Power Cashback paid today :j, switch to Eon us due to be completed about now, sadly EON are very slow at gaining meter readings.

I've found that the two times I've moved to them in the last four months :j

They are very quick at paying cashback though!!

Not sure what to do, I'd be really grateful if anyone has any ideas as to a good way to proceed. I have just moved into rented accommodation. My landlord is fine with me changing supplier (Spark).

But I have no previous bills to go with.

When I went to Scottish Power via Quidco it asked for current bills with no option to say "dont know". I gave an estimate and it only offerred me advance payment options. So I changed the bill estimate and same thing. It wont offer me any single fuel option!!

As I say, I would be very grateful for any help.
Do you like my medal ?

From Quidco do you not get a first page where you enter your postcode and 'electricity only' radio button?

Just out of curiosity...why does Martin mention "swithching Sites with freebies" on, but never mentions that say Quidco would give you more?

How do you guys time the changovers?

I mean don't you get charged at X Rate for the first Y usage per month.

So if during a typical month you get charged at:

    1st Month 23p elec/ 6p gas
    2nd Month 10p Elec/ 3p gas
    3rd Month 10p Elec/ 3p gas

If you switch after 1st month won't you be forever paying the higher rate of elec/gas?

Or do you guy guys go for a standing charge tariff, so to only pay 'per day' this amount? Is that the key?

    Cheers.

Higher rate isn't always worked out that way, it's usually pro rated. Anyway, for me, the £50-100 cashback outweighs any higher rates.

As you seem resident CB switching expert :T when do you suggest I apply to switch back to SP bearing in mind that Gas leaves SP for Eon on 26th June, Electric leaves SP for EON on 29th June and their is the no small matter of waiting for EON to ask for opening meter readings  and then passing them to SP for billing. Normally Id go to BG next, 41.00 is highest they are offering for dual switch.

Has anyone had their £100 paid yet? Mine has tracked and my first DD came out today so I'm hoping to get it paid at the end of this month. Will need it as was almost £100 in debit with British Gas :(

Mine was marked as received today :T

I got my cashback for Scottish Power the other day. Was going to wait till BG put the rates (cashback) up but not sure when they will do this, might go to eon in the meantime.
