Fighting it will be fruitless and a waste of time, as they will have done nothing wrong.
But, I disagree that ringing up will make no difference to mis-prices being/not being honoured, it alerts people to the error all the sooner, and stops maybe at least the first few people at least getting the bargain.
All in my opinion of course
I hope someone might get one, but its not likely now.2 angels in heaven :A0 -
Don't get me wrong, I'm not about to go threatening legal action, but as a current customer anyway, it will be interesting to see if they cancel all orders. They have also taken the money! Difficult one this, but I do have a feeling that they will honour some of the purchases. Good luck to everyone anyway.0

I'm not a lawyer and never stated that I was even trying to be one. I was only mentioning that this was the only statement from Freemans that they could use to cancel the order within the email, and personally I shall fight it if they try. I didn't mean to offend anyone.
sorry, my mistake - my comment was to rocky not to you but i didn't quote him/her in my reply"Sealed Pot challenge" member No.1378 -

No need for in fighting IMHO, lets just wait and see.
Its a fact that they do not have to sell us these at the reduced price but maybe you never know someone may get one.
Good luck2 angels in heaven :A0 -
I was one of the first to order this and haven't had a cancellation email yet. Will wait and see I guess.0

Besides 99.9% of the phone operators couldn't give a flying toss if you got a bargain or not....Someone working in for littlewoods/kays told me that on my bebo ages ago!!! lol
I worked on retail systems for years, writing and designing programs for buyers and retailers. We didn't have systems that did that. Especially when some companies have assortments of over 100,000 lines, it's easy for an incorrect price to go unnoticed if nobody points it out.
Also a lot of retail systems generate reports that are picked up the next day or at the end of the week, so there can be plenty of scope for mis-prices to slip through the net if people don't phone up, when deliveries can go out from the warehouse really fast.0 -

As an ex Littlewoods manager I know that many SA's took great delight in scuppering a bargain, by advising a manager who would send an email to the appropriate department.AKA: PC

That is also my experience as an employee and a customer.
A couple of months ago I saw a summer picnic hamper set priced at £1.32 no picture or description fantastic bargain or tiny kids plastic set? well I copied and pasted the exact title into google and got this
http://www.heals.co.uk/invt/895751&source=froogle . I ordered 2, thought if it was not what I expected it can go back, well I got the same hampers as from Heals! I then ordered another 4 for family/friends, then another 4 when more friends heard, I was then going to post it here but they went out of stock. The point is I received my orders which were clearly misprices because no-one rang up, I'm not saying that if no-one rings you will definately get it but ringing will reduce your chances by 95% I can't stress this strongly enough DO NOT RING!AKA: PC
