changed the internet options re the tracking cookie so hopefully that will work but the funweb seems to be very annoying along withthe paltalk got rid using the SAS and rebooted is there anything u can do other than keep getting rid if it turns up again0

Spybot should prevent some of the cookies at least so long as you use its IMMUNISE feature regularly
Download SPYBOT (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION' ~ make sure TEA TIMER is UNTICKED on installation)
http://www.filehippo.com/download_spybot_search_destroy/
UPDATE and IMMUNISE (Make sure it reads ZERO unprotected) and SCAN
Then all you can do is keep updating malwarebytes and superantispyware to attempt to kill the root cause (And make sure you run FULL scans with them). Id update and scan every week or so:idea:0 -
thanks alot u have been a great help through all of this. seeing as the keylogging seems to have been shown to be a false positive im still wondering about the padlock symbol. kinda strange guess all i can do is wait and see if it reappears although i still get https and pop ups saying im in a secure site. all abit strange0

Id be tempted to remove norton to see if that gets it working
or/and
Try FIREFOX instead

dont want to be touching norton uninstalling it again. last night scared me to death lol. it strange cause its been fine for ever and a day although im sure it might have happened in the past ages and ages ago but then reappeared
can u use firefox aswell as having IE on your comp? at the same time0 -
you can have as many browsers as you want on your computer
I cant believe your clinging to Norton like a cat to its prey after how much its let through but hey,....its your computer:idea:0 -
Yes, you can have both browsers0

well no ill defo get rid it off just want to make sure i know what im doing first ie go out and buy a kapinsky (can never remember how to spell it) and not have to worry that ill mess up and end up totally unprotectedcant believe your clinging to Norton like a cat to its prey after how much its let through but hey,....its your computer0 -
would u reccomend the Kaspersky Internet Security0

you will be happy to know the norton has gone and i installed kaspersky internet secuirty today. its very detailed if not a little confusing with all the extra details and reports but certainly seems way better and more professional than norton. one thing though does it have a section where it says how long is left on your subscription as i cant seem to find that and does it have an option to turn on/off the security pop ups that say u are entering a secure site. . im also now using firefox instead of IE and its alot quicker than the old ie. but although when i first installed firefox the padlock symbol came back it went again after i scanned with norton. so i thought it may come back after getting rid of installing kaspersky but nothing, still seems abit strange but i have been told aslong as the httpS is there its ok. ? think ill stay off the internet banking fora while lol0
