    I can get it to around £350 via the Small Business section but not via Home. Not sure why though.

    Looks like they are charging delivery if you go through home section but its free for small business section.

    Has anyone got some photos of this unit? So everyone can see what they're buying? :)
  • I think I read that if you buy in the business section you're not covered by the distance selling regulations the same as if you bought from the consumer site. This will need confirming.

    There seem to be a lot of people on here still looking at the price for this with DVD writer and wireless as around the £340-£350 mark. This is not the case. I see a couple of other people have said but just to clarify for everyone.
    INSPIRON 1300
    £289
    with
    DVD WRITER
    WIRELESS

    BEST UPGRADES=
    SCREEN = add £35.25
    BATTERY = add £11.75

    This is via the DELL 'HOME' section and under code - N03135b

    Its basically the original deal but £10 cheaper and if you use quidco that makes it £276 without upgrades and £321 with both above mentioned upgrades.

    Don't get the memory upgrade though because it will cost you £76.38 to get 512MB instead of £25.49 (free delivery) from http://www.lowestonweb.com/Products/DisplayInfoMain.asp?e=E42351D9-AB2C-478A-9F01-36CA17D9469D&td=1 which will get you 768MB in total.

    Grab it while you can! :j

    If you are looking to increase the base spec. to:
    512mb memory
    6 cell battery
    15.4" screen
    [advisable]
    then
    N03135b will cost you £361.49 (assuming a £25.49 memory upgrade from https://www.lowestonweb.com)
    N03136 will cost you £350.88 and the memory upgrade is done for you.
