This is the same laptop as the other day for £299. You can check full specs on dells site.

Go to dell small business site

    http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/default.aspx?c=uk&cs=ukbsdt1&l=en&s=bsd

    Enter the E-Code below: 905 N03135

Reduce the support to 90 days, go to the checkout and you get free delivery aswell making it £288.47. Buy it through quidco and get money back, making it £275.49!

Also, you can upgrade the screen for £30. And it may be worth adding a printer (colour printer from £8.47, all in one photocopied etc from £16.98)

    Does anyone know
    a) What courier Dell use
    b) What happens if they try to deliver when there is nobody at home?

    Thanks :)

I am finding that they swap about a bit. Sometimes UPS who are a pain in the laptop ( my nearest depot is 50 miles away) and they are very inflexible ie they wont let my neighbour who has keys to my house accept my delivery and will only let you collect from their depot if you get authorisation from Dell and then you have to take photo id with you.

Just lately DEll have used business post who are very helpful the driver has my mobile number and phones to ask which neighbours to leave parcels with.
    WHOOOOSHHHHHHHHH……..

  • Just a quickie if I may.

Does this: English - Genuine Windows XP Professional SP2 Backup Media [add £5.88]

mean for £5.88 you get the actual genuine XP disc or just a recovery disk which you could actually make yourself from the: PC Restore recovery system by Symantec [Included in Price]

    Cheers,

Just the back up disc. DELL must be paying a hell of a lot more than we do for blank discs;)

They will not sell you XP Pro backup media unless it is installed as an option by Dell.
What you get is a Dell branded disc without a COA, as obviously your new Dell has a COA sticker.
It will install on any PC, but obviously you would need a Dell COA otherwise after 30-days it will stop working :D
  • Thanks for the replies.

I meant to copy the XP Home bit, not the Professional bit....oops.

I Googled 'COA' but came up with "Results 1 - 10 of about 21,600,000" so can someone enlighten me?

Goto https://www.dell.co.uk click on Home under the Dell Home Systems link, then on main menu Shop by E-value Code enter 305 in first box then N03135b in the second box. drop the cover to 90-Day Collect and Return service and then update price.

Best bit this time is its £10.00 cheaper and can be ordered online...don't forget that there are cashback sites you can go through to get it even cheaper :)
    Welcome, rogerramjet.
